The study examined influential factors of fencers' decision-making in simulating fencing situation. Ss were 89 fencers (Fleuret players n=37; epee players n=52). Grade, amount of information, decision-making style and gender were tested with MANOVA. The results indicated that the speed of elite group's decision-making were superior to the others'. The accuracy and stability of fleuret players increased with the upgrade of capability. With the growing of information, the common fleuret group' decision-making speed declined significantly, while the elite group kept stable, under the circumstance, the stability of epee players descended. Amount of information fleuret players gathered appeared direct ratio with accuracy of decision-making, but in the epee, there was not the same relation. The integrate style fleuret players were most excellent than other styles' in speed, accuracy and stability of decision-making. There was not significant difference between male and female. There was not direct ratio among the speed, accuracy and stability of elite fencers, while other groups there were.Analyses of experimental results and verbal protocols indicated that elite fencers' excellent performances were because that: their attention strategies had a integrated characteristic. They had more schemas, imageries and mental models in mental presentation and they developed a large number of "if-then" rules and integrated them well. During the information processing, they could produce a singled mental presentation by integrating more information than common fencers. Their information process had significant characteristic of automatization and ways of information coding and strategies of decision-making were more reasonable than the others'.Elite Fencer Decision-making Test system V1.0 has high reliability and validity, which can be used in talent selecting of fencer and simulating training.
