Urban Aesthetic Image Of The Study

The construction and research of city character is a hot issue of current social culture. It is related with the acceleration of cities and the attention paid on the culture construction and research. Different areas of study make research from different angles. This paper defines the city character from the angle of aesthetics, and emphasizes on the emotional identification of the citizens to arouse the public's cultural imagination and to enrich their creative feeling and experience towards city character. It analyzes the city character from its visual appearance and its cultural atmosphere and quality. In specific, the paper reviews the basic elements in city construction as city planning, sign designing, citizen-based cultural activities, city's culture orientation etc. one by one; evaluates their aesthetic value and cultural significance to achieve the aesthetic research in the combination of sensitive description and reasonable survey.
