To Chinese teachers, the art of instruction is mainly expressed by the art of instruction language. Since then, as a result of examinations, Chinese lessons are generally taught as "skill-training lessons" or "reason-analysising lessons". It not only ignores the need of students' feelings, but also repels their thoughts and personalities, which causes the inbalance of knowledge and emotion. In additon, it makes students become inward, passive, inconfident...It is obvious that the traditonal opinion of the course includes: orders of the content in advance , true transmition ; paying more attention to the conclution during the explaination instead of the course; paying more attention to the tools instead of the humanity. Its biggest shortcoming is that the world of knowledge which the teacher shows to students has the strict definition and limitation, which dosen't go match with students' real world that has the feature of indefinition and complication. The standard of new course thinks highly of the way of comprehensive communication that are mainly about exploration-discussion, emphasizes the dialogue and cooperation, changes the way of one-way communication in which teachers "pour" while students "drink"; advocates the elicitation method, opposes the spoon-feeding way of teaching, asks for the inspiration of the instruction language; emphasizes the importance of the language's emotion in the aspect of students' congnition development; pays attention to the pluralistic concept of class evaluation, protects carefully students' activeness to take part in; requires that the instruction language should be not only lively and emotional, but also colorful and personal. The issue of the standard of new course is likely to get rid of these defeats as well as arouse the changes of the language concept of teachers. Connected with many experts' examples and personal practice, this article poses that the classroom instruction language should pay attention to "five characters" with the background of standard of the new course: the dialogue character-from monologue to dialogue; the emotion character-from indifferent to moving; the elicitation character-from pouring into to stimulating; the inspiration character-from criticism to appreciation; the art character-from boring to colorful.
