On The RARP Dwellers Of City

RARP is the abbreviation of "residing apart from household registration place". "RARP" is a special phenomenon in China. It is caused by the household registration system developing behind development of the society and the economy in China. In fact this phenomenon is a special space distribution that the dweller place is inconsistent to the dweller place. Today there happen the grate changes in China, in this course the RARP effects the society and economy of China. Therefore the research on this issue is very important. But the statistics data on this kind of people is too difficult to obtain that the researchers have to fix attention on the macroscopical research on the negative impact the RARP put on the society, economy and the administration. The research on character of the dwellers who do not live in the place registered in household is comparatively less. And the reasons why these dwellers choose the RARP are mostly conjectured from the researchers. The author wants to do some demonstration research on these aspects in the thesis.The author take a part in the project of the "Research on the population changes in Pudong District" .In this project the sampling survey is used. The ratio of this sampling survey is l%o. Sample frame is the census tracks in 2000. Urban space structure of Shanghai is quasi-homocentric circularity, so according to the distance between the tracks' geometrical center and the Lujiazui the tracks are classified to 8 the same size sample groups. 8 tracks were got by sampling one track from each group random. The people who are sampled filled in the questionnaire which not only including the regular question such as, name, sex, age, education etc, but also including the working site, commuting tools and the reason of RSH etc.This survey supplied sufficient data to research the character and the status of the dwellers who chose the "RARP" and the individual motive of "RARP". Author research the above aspects by qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis and the space analysis, and draw the conclusion as followings:The main type of "RARP" is cross-district which means the place of the dwellers' registered in household and the actual dweller are in different districts of the city. With the distance between the tracks and center of the city reducing, the ratio of this type increases. The household register places are usually adjacent to the dwellers and correlative to the work sites or school sites.Compared with the "RP" dwellers that mean the dwellers live in the place...
