The human-oriented thought is the core of quality education, which embodies the all-round considerations of human, and actually approaches the essence of education.Quality education in college should have been human-oriented, but it was not embodied and carried out neither subjectively nor objectively. Nowadays, the tendency of education is society-oriented. It cannot reflect the real character of education, and will badly affect the implementation of quality education. It's very common that quality education be misunderstood and mislead.The successful implementation of quality education, as a kind of concept or category, directly relates to the aim point of view of education. The aim of education determines the support and opposition of quality education. Quality education itself is advocated for human. Thus, the different aims, except human-oriented, may all mislead quality education.The researcher holds that the implementation of quality education must be human-oriented. It should be the essential value orientation of quality education in college. Only be human-oriented can college quality education be implemented successfully.Based on extensive, adequate research materials, Maxims philosophy as the basic research method, adopting text dialogue method, case analysis method, comparative study and theory-construction method, etc, the research, focusing on college quality education, discusses such questions as "What is the aim of education," "What is the essence of quality education," "how to implement education". After the study of ancient and modern, Chinese and foreign theories and practices of quality education in college, the research systematically probes into the definition, concepts, practice, curriculum and task of quality education in college from the practical level.The characteristics and value of the research lie in the following aspects:First, it tries to reveal the essence of quality education. Based on the visit to some Chinese and foreign universities that do well on quality education, and systematic comparison, the research points out that essence of quality education is human-oriented education. From the whole teaching process, it's better to call "human oriented" than "teacher-oriented" or "students-oriented." The development of human is the base. It is the common task of teachers and students.Secondly, the researcher clearly points out the thought of "two necessities", "constructors and successors" belongs to society-oriented view, and it obviously contradicts the essence of quality education.Thirdly, the focus of quality education in college should be curriculum or courses teaching. The view of curriculum should be comprehensively reformed with humanity. In order to promote the education receivers' overall development and to foster talents with the characteristic of harmony and coordination, balanced curriculum of quality-orientation, humanity and harmony should be advocated.The purpose of studying theories is to guide the practice. The comparison between the ancient and modern, Chinese and foreign education is to orientate quality education in college more exactly. The conclusion of the research, which is all along based on practice, may offer direct references for quality education in college.
