Educative power is an inner directive force contained in education; it's a fundamental way in which education exists. In the institutionalized education, educative power is exercised mainly by the body politic, schools and teachers, which embodies the alienability of educative power. The two basic attributes of educative power indicates that educative power is instructive, natural and justified, and they contain the all original validity of educative power.In reality of educational practice, such validity is decreasing; educative power turns into two contorted forms: one is educational violence; the other is the nothingness of educative power. The two contorted forms of educative power undermine the rightful educative power by different way, and make it a kind of power that would be deconstructed and exorcised. The distortion to the educative power stems from the misinterpretation of its essential attributes, it shows diverse mistaken beliefs in educational practice.To clarify these misunderstanding and eliminate this distortion, we must return to the headstream of educative power in theory and seek after the validity in education itself. Educative power stems from the essence of education which promote human's spirit and virtue, and from the educational public life which educatees inevitably move in. The essence of education and the educational public life define the essential characteristic of educative power, that is, the attributes of nature and alienability. The two paradoxical attributes are just the particularity of educative power; they contain the source of valid educative power. The ultimate validity of educative power rest with believing in the ultimate good, which implied in the education, through the inducting and upbringing, individuals can obtain the excellence of sprite and virtue, and community can implement the common well-being. The achievement of personal well-being and the common well-being embody the validity of objective of educative power; in form, its validity is revealed through three modes, that is, the orientative power, the normative power and the managerial power, and the realization of the validity of objective and form must get through the validity of their application. Owing to the notional modernistic inversion of some educational issues such as educational content, educational system and educational subject, the validities in objective, form and application of educative power lose their meaning, which cause the crisis of validity of educative power.Educative power has its valid origin, and has the indispensable existence conditions. The freedom of education is the sustentive condition of educative power, because freedom and power are interdependent; educational community is the hylomorphic condition of educative power, because they are of identical construct so that educative power doesn't live in without education community. The validity of educative power and its existential conditions jointly shape the practical types and the mode of execution of educative power, and they guarantee the validity of educative power and its realization.
