Education is related hundreds of millions of families hope for a better life, the quality of the nation and the future of the country. Freedom is the basic condition of a meaningful life. Only if all of us are free and full developed, there will be the all-round development. In fact, whether the teacher’s free was guaranteed? What is the teacher’s free condition? We must clear them.This research is based on philosophy, psychology, education, law and educational ethics, using literature method, theoretical research method and questionnaire research, taking the view of primary education to analysis teacher freedom.The foothold was "at first, teachers are social person", teacher freedom is the autonomous regional activities in their occupation life, which includes teaching freedom, academic freedom, management freedom, and livelihood freedom. Teacher freedom has its intrinsic limitation, which includes teachers’rights, teachers obligations, education laws and education regulations. Its external borders is teacher ethicsAim the current status of primary school teachers freedom in the city called T, the survey shows that primary school teacher freedom is mixed. In their respective occupation life, felt free and not free was hand each half. The condition of freedom about primary school teachers were obviously related to their ages, seniorities, duties and annual income. The school management system has certain constraints on teachers, reduced the range of primary school teacher freedom. Primary school teachers have low salary and trivial tasks, some of them lower their own occupation approbation and dissatisfaction their social status of occupation.If you want to achieve teacher freedom, you must meet the material needs of teachers first, creat a good school spirit culture which could give pride to teachers, give soul to school rules and regulations, build a freedom culture. In the mean time, improve the social status of teachers in primary schools, creat a harmonious social environment, work out the laws and regulations to adapt the development of China’s status of teachers as soon as possible. Provide educational support before and after their employment.Fully mobilize the initiative of teachers, wake their sense of freedom, give guidance and help to teachers’ physical and mental health and free leisure.
