Multicultural Context Of National Institutions To Develop Research

Ethnic Universities is the special high education system in China, which is the choose of education for the ethnic groups' development in our multicultural country. Ethnic universities are special kind of high educational organization, their main object are serving for ethnic groups. In China, there are 13 ethnic universities which are established in different time and distributed over different regions.This paper's focus is put on the way of the establish and development of ethnic universities, and explain the characteristic of the history , the status and role, culture and identity, reform and development of ethnic universities. The establish of ethnic universities has special politic, social , cultural and educational background. On the one hand, it embody the contents of CPC's minority policy which promote the union and development of ethnic groups. On the other hand, it shows the way how to develop a proper pattern of high education in a multicultural country. Over 50 years, ethnic universities cultivate many talented people, spread ethnic culture, promote the big progress of ethnic region, and safeguard the unite of ethnic groups and the steady of the country.Ethnic universities have special educational definition because of their background. It is the seek of high education in a multicultural country and promote the development of diversity of high education. With the changes of the time and society, the educational definition of ethnic universities is also changing. Today, with the strategy of strengthening country with technology and education, with the strategy of the development of west region, and the strategy of the establishing rich society, with the trend of globalization and the understanding on different models of high education, ethnic universities face both chance and challenge.In this situation, we urgently need to understand the background, characteristic, identity, real situation and special definition of ethnic universities, which will promote the development of ethnic universities. How to develop itself in the new period is an important task that ethnic universities should solve.It is very important for people to study ethnic universities as a whole.
