With transiting of our economy system to a socialist market economy from planned economy,various sport events are seeking for well-cycling roads.As one of our gold events,artistic gymnastics has made great contribution to the Chinese Olympic Gold Medal Winning Program during the special historical period.Nevertheless,with the time passing on, artistic gymnastics has to enhance its the function of self-making blood and to serve for the society when fulfilling task of the Gold Medal Winning Program.For the reason,the event should explore marketing road positively.The purpose of the paper is to present the key points of market exploration in our artistic gymnastics based on analyzing the current situation and main problems of the event marketing in China,adopting the experiences inside and outside the country and considering the national and the event' s characters.The research results are as the follows:1.Artistic Gymnastics Association of The United States has played an important role in over-all guiding,coordinating and marketing the event due to the social management system.The market system o artistic gymnastics has developed well with the full and effective marketing operation mode.The experience of marketing is worth learning and adopting.2.The strength in market exploration of artistic gymnastics is composed of gold event,a group of outstanding athletes and a group of instructors,stars affect,being suitable for juvenile instincts; weakness includes athletes' peak of the short duration,low rate of being successful gymnasts,poor appreciation of competitive match performance,single competition systems,influence of the developing view of International Gymnastics Association(IGA),low participation degrees and gymnastics population declining.Opportunity consists of economic system reform promoting,changes in the structure of consumption, the effect Olympic Games pulling and the reform of the IGA.Threat comes from impact of culture industry and other sport events,the educational system constraints and the value orientation of public spending deviation. 3.China' s artistic gymnastics training market is the essential characteristic of education,knowledge,skills,economy,and simultaneity,artistic gymnastics training form:combination of sport and education,social forces to participate in the "private sector forms", as well as national and social integration.4.Our service product of artistic gymnastics competitions is scarce,monotonous type and boring forms.Therefore,we should speed up the reform of the event management system,enhancing operation of public welfare individual gymnastics events through market,and encouraging holding domestic commercial gymnastics competitions,and so on,playing emphasis on ticket selling, TV rights selling and promoting cooperation with sponsors.5.Star athletes of athlete gymnastics in China are rich in resource,the goal of the star athletes developing is to make full use of human capital. Star athletes playing as human capital is limited strictly by time, because sports life of woman gymnasts is 2-3 years,2.37 on average,men' s average of six years.Therefore,we should seize the opportunity to accelerate the market development of star athletes.
