The Theoretical Set-up Of The Intervention Mode And Empirical Research On Elite Diver Preparing For The Big Games

On the basis of exploring the previous research findings about intervention mode of sport psychology and the fact of diving in China, we theoretically set up the intervention mode for divers preparing important games. In order to validate the effectiveness of the intervention mode and the mental training, we test the intervention measures in the mode, including the effect of mental skills training to the divers'performance in competition; the effect of imagery rehearsal to divers'performance; the effects of preperformace routines to elite diver's performance;the application of solution-focused brief counseling in sport psychology. The conclusion was as follows:a.The intervention mode for divers preparing important games was effective to China Diving team in preparing 2008 Beijing Olympic Games;b. the mental training combined goal-setting, imagery rehearsal, relaxing training and self-talk can markedly improved the level of diver'mental skills and some performance of them were got improved;c.imagery rehearsal training effectively improved the imagery ability, quality and stability of the action with problems;d. the improvement of the divers'performance and the subjective interview shows that the preporformance routines is effective;e. the solution-focused approach successfully solved diver'problems before the competition including lack of self-confidence, concentration problems, anxiety and so on.Summarized the above results, a. the thesis contributed theoretically to enriching the intervention mode of the sport psychology, set up the intervention mode for divers preparing important games;b. it enriches and supports the theories and measures of mental skill training, especially for elite athletes;c. it theoretically enriches the theories and measures of sport counseling, and firstly applied the approach of solution-focused brief counseling in sport counseling in China;d. In methodology, the thesis take a single-subject design which allowed every Olympic diver could get sufficient psych-intervention before competition, and the systematic record of intervention measures and process put forward similar researches in the future in methodology.
