The Impacts Of Oil Prices Fluctuation On Road Transportation And Countermeasures

At present, crude oil is a special kind of strategic commodities and the most important world consumption of one-time energy in the world, while it is a kind of important chemical materials and strategic materials which is related to the national economy and the people's livelihood. In recent years, it has caused a great impact in the related industries of national economy that crude oil and oil products prices rise and fluctuate repeatedly, and it has become the focus of attention at home and abroad. Road transport industry is one of the basic industry which is related to the national economy and the people's livelihood, which is subject to rising oil price shocks the most directly and the most intensely. Therefore, it has been attended and discussed widely that the research of the impacts of rising oil prices on road transportation and countermeasures.This paper, through the reference in research achievements of price forming mechanism, price conduction mechanism, price elasticity, marginal income, industrial structure, the industrial connection, risk control and futures trading theory, and through the integrated use of qualitative and quantitative analysis and the combining research of the theory and empirical analysis method, from the analysis of oil price forming mechanism, studies the influence of the prices fluctuation on the road transportation and countermeasures comprehensively and systematically and in-depth and has obtained innovative research achievements. Research results make for the effective distribution of crude oil for national economic sectors, can impel road transportation organizers change business idea and improve transportation efficiency, can also provide decision-making reference for the road transportation to realize sustainable development under the background of high oil prices.The main research contents and conclusions in this paper include six aspects. Firstly, this paper summarizes the current research at home and abroad detailedly and determines the dissertation research technical route. Secondly, it analyzes the oil price forming mechanism and the international oil price movements, and expectes that the international oil prices will remain high. Thirdly, it studies the impact of rising oil prices on road transportation, probes into how rising oil prices affect on the road transportation enterprise directly or indirectly and how rising oil prices influences road transportation enterprises earn using elastic price theory. Fourthly, it studies the relationship between the rising oil prices and the risk management of road transportation, summarizes the road transportation business risks and its categories, evaluates the management risk which rising oil prices bring to the road transportation, and obtains optimal lever coefficient distribution interval of road transportation based on the principle of the operating level. Fifthly, linkage system of oil and transportation prices is studied as a key research in this paper. It analyzes the theoretical and practical basis that our country executes the price linkage system of oil and transportation, and constructs the price linkage models of oil and transportation with stronger applicability, namely city public traffic optimal subsidies model, city taxi price linkage model, rural passenger transportation linkage model and long distance passenger transportation linkage model. Sixthly, it analyzes the countermeasures coping with rising oil prices on road transportation. Choosing separately from the two level of government and enterprise and the two stages of short-term and long-term, it elaborates the comprehensive countermeasures that the road transportation faces the risk of rising oil prices.
