Study On Supply Chain Coordination In BTO Environment

When the customers from the traditional passive acceptors of the firms' products and services turn into active selectors of the firms' products and services, the traditional Pull Production Mode has tremendously challenged by the Pull Production Mode, as a result, the operation mode of supply chain has been transforming from BTS to BTO stealthily. Then the topic of this dissertation:supply chain coordination in BTO environment comes out. Based on the definition of BTO environment in this thesis, with a view to the influence which is brought to coordination of supply chain by the operation environment, and a series of challenges which the supply chain operation topics need to face, this dissertation does following study works to coordination problems in the new circumstances:1) From the perspective of production modes' matching of supply chain firms, we propose the model of matching selection of supply chain firms' production modes, then present nine primary production modes matching styles of firms. According to the hypothesis conditions of the model and the analysis of firms' cost structure, successively implementing two rejections to the nine primary modes which are provided by the model, finally present more rational and supply chain coordination based matching modes of firms' production modes.2) Considering the realization of the supply chain coordination from the viewpoint of decision of pricing and quotation of lead-time, through construction of leader-follower game model manufacturer and supplier based, and deriving equilibrium solution of the model, further we get the optimal decision about pricing and quotation of lead-time in the situation which is set by the model. The analysis of equilibrium solution indicates that pricing and quotation of lead-time are dependent decisions on supply chain's operation, and any decision variable of the above makes difference that will influence the performance of the whole supply chain, which also demonstrates the necessity of bringing pricing and quotation of lead-time into the scale of supply chain's decisions.3) Thinking of the limitation of treating modes of stocks between supply chain firms nowadays, we present stock cost transferring mechanism between firms aiming to maximizing the profit of the whole supply chain. The cost transferring mechanism model effectively solves the decision problem about pricing and stock cost's sharing between supply chain firms, and solids theoretical basis to realize the maximization of supply chain profit.4) From the perspective of using quantification of complexity to find out the sourcing of coordination complexity of supply chain, through constructing quantified model information entropy based, then quantifying the coordination complexity of the whole supply chain from operation level. The study indicates that the coordination complexity of supply chain is mainly consisted by the complexity of the supplier-manufacturer interface and manufacturer-retailer interface.5) According to the results of the case study, this thesis further discusses feasible application modes of BTO in motors industry. In the discussion, we set the production mode of motors industry as mixed BTS-BTO in the BTO environment, and discuss the industry implementations of mixed BTS-BTO from three different viewpoints.
