In the 21 Century, Firms are in the turbulent changing environment. Any firms which rest on the existing competitive advantage will soon be replaced by other more creative competitors.How firms in a dynamic environment for competitive advantage and continue to maintain long-term competitiveness, is the current hot issues of common concern for strategic management theory and business practice. Dynamic capabilities theory highlights the dynamic, thus get rid of resource based view of the static equilibrium model restrictions. Since Teece et al. put forward the dynamic capabilities framework, strategic management scholars on the subject of this study has maintained a sustained enthusiasm. The rapid development of dynamic capabilities theory reflects the urgent need of continued development of business for theory, the study also shows that the framework itself endless academic vitality. For developing countries, the promotion of dynamic capabilities is the road way must follow for productivity changes. Entrepreneurs and managers make the efforts for dynamic capabilities, relating to the business growth, industrial upgrading and the rise and fall of the country, must be given high priority. Under the current environment, how should Chinese enterprises to understand and develop dynamic capabilities, and access to long-lasting excellent performance, that is the focus of academic attention, but also an urgent problem in practice, in-depth study of this issue has important significance.This thesis focuses on the study of the source of dynamic capabilities. Existing dynamic capabilities theory for the relationship between dynamic capabilities and sustainable competitive advantage has a full explanation, but how to access these unique enterprise heterogeneous capabilities, dynamic capacity-source explains little. This thesis selects the strategic leadership behaviors on the impact of dynamic capabilities as the research object, and empirical research, is a new attempt for the source of dynamic capability.The purpose of this paper is the proven strategic leadership behavior on the impact of dynamic capabilities and specific mechanisms, for the development of the dynamic capabilities theory to make some valuable contributions, the following work:Firstly, a longitudinal study of dynamic capabilities on subject perspective, the strategic leadership behavior will be integrated into dynamic capabilities the framework. Secondly, an analysis relation of strategic leadership behavior impact on dynamic capabilities. Thirdly, organizational learning as an intermediary variable to analysis the inherent mechanism of strategic leadership behavior impact on the dynamic capabilities. Fourthly, the empirical research is to verify proposed model and specific assumptions. Finally, about management implications and prospects for further research.This thesis achieves the following aspects of the theory of innovation and contribution:(1) This thesis proposed a subject perspective on study of source of dynamic capabilities. Unlike the previous study, put the source of dynamic capabilities as the objective organization practice. From a genetics view, this thesis argues that dynamic capabilities should be considered as creative effort of organizational subject, and based on this proposed of subjective perspective. This thesis proposed the S-L-D model of conduction mode, explained the inter-relationship among strategic leadership behavior, organizational learning, and dynamic capabilities.(2) This thesis firstly systematic studies the influence strategic leadership behavior on dynamic capabilities. Unlike most previous studies of strategic leadership behavior and corporate dynamic capabilities as an independent variable respectively, this study explicitly incorporated into the strategic leadership behavior of the dynamic capabilities framework. In particular, the paper made an empirical study of strategic leadership behavior on dynamic ability.(3) Organizational learning as an intermediary variable, open the "black box" of strategic leadership behavior effect on the dynamic capabilities, and making the mechanism of strategic leadership behavior on the dynamic capabilities become clear on the mechanism of uncertain dynamic capabilities.(4) The thesis clearly put forward the theoretical basis of analysis the relationship between strategic leadership behavior, organizational learning and dynamic capabilities. The thesis put forward the integration model of organizational learning mechanisms; proposed relying on the concept of psychological contract theory to analyze strategic behavior of leaders change-oriented leadership and positive impact on the role of organizational learning; proposed relying on the social exchange theory to analyze the strategic leader in transaction oriented leadership on the positive influence of organizational learning; relying on the CAS theory and organization creative theory to analyze the dynamic capabilities of organizational learning on the role of positive affect. |
