Organizational Research On The Industrial Clusters

Within the scope of global economy, the agglomeration of industry development becomes an increasingly common phenomenon; the industrial clusters in various fields in China is developing vigorously and booming every here and there. The rapid development of industrial clusters around the world and its significant contribution to the economic growth of the countries makes it important for academic study.The study on industrial clusters, which is profounder and more profuse day by day, has become an indispensable part of regional economy. At present, the organizational research on industrial clusters will possibly become the new point of cutting-in for further study. However, current studies rarely base on the organizational features of the industrial clusters to find out its corresponding place in the classic theories of economy, and then analyze its organizational structure and the organization governance under the frame of organizational theory.On the basis of detailed review of literatures, this paper builds up a frame of organizational analysis on industrial clusters, and studies along the following four dimensionalities: the nature of organization, division efficiency and organizational boundary, organizational structure and governance, and then further demonstrates the major conclusions of the analysis in this paper with case studies on industrial clusters to explore the mode of organizational analysis. The study in this paper mainly contributes in the following 6 fields.(1) Review the research literatures on industrial clusters. This paper reviews the important literatures along the clue of current studies on industrial clusters, and comments respectively on numerous papers on mechanism of cluster's formation and development, its competitive and innovative advantages, social network within the cluster, and cluster's organizational characteristics and representative cases. And the paper further points out the deficiencies in these theoretical studies and the methods in practical studies, and figures that the studies on industrial clusters should be standardized in a frame of organizational research.(2) Construct the frame of organizational research on industrial clusters.
