Research On The Development Of China's Air Logistics System

The concept of logistics was introduced to China in 1979, but it was not until the mid-1990s that the logistics in China entered a phase of systemic development. Under the circumstances that the development in China's logistics industry has been far from forming a complete system, air logistics industry has just started, or even might have not started yet. China's air cargo market was still in the developing process of integration, adjustment and transformation. It is difficult to find a real air logistics enterprise locally. Along with the thorough development of various kinds of transport patterns in cargo logistics, and at the same time overseas air cargo enterprises will also speed up the pace of developing Chinese market after China's WTO entry, our country's air cargo industry faces intensifying competition day by day. It not only adapts to the economic development demand for the air logistics service, but also is an urgent problem to be solved to improve the overall competitive capability in current civil air cargo industry to study and discuss how to promote the development of Chinese air logistics so as to instruct our practice in the development of Chinese air logistics and accelerate the pace of developing China's air logistics industry.Transportation and logistics are closely related. The motivation of this paper is to provide systemic theory and methods to promote the formation and development of China's air logistics system, complied with the trend of cargo logistics.Through the analysis of the implication of logistics, the development of logistics and supply chain management, and the characteristic of logistics, this paper elaborates on the elementary theory of development of logistics. On this basis, the relationship between transportation and logistics is dissected. Through analysis of the development in four aspects such as cargo logistics, combined transportation and logistics, development of cargo transportation enterprises in cargo logistics, cargo transport-tation industry and logistics industry, the relationship between the two is elaborates systemically. On this basis, this paper discusses and forms the elementary theory of air logistics, by giving a definition of air logistics, analyzing the formation and connotation of air logistics industry, the product of air logistics and its realization, then the characteristics of air logistics.
