The Study On The Social Innovation Of The Promotion Of Urban Competitiveness

Scholars and policy decision-makers have paid more and more attention on urban competitiveness and urban innovative system study since 1980s. Urbanization is an important tendency in the development of China and the whole world, and the city has strategic position in the process of globalization and knowledge economy, so promoting urban social innovation is the inevitable choice of urban developing stragety.This essay takes the new perspective of social innovation to study urban competitiveness. In order to expand the theory of urban development, the author analyzes the mechanism of how social innovation influences urban competitiveness, and create a new explanatory frame, which takes social innovation into the analysis frame of the theory.Innovation, whose essence is social innovation, is a technical process, a commercial process, a military process, and a social process, while the promotion of urban competitveness keeps changing in the process of government administration and the development of urban agglomeration. Here, social innovation perspective synthesizes system theory, sociology, economics, and innovativeness.
