The Upper Reaches Of The Yangtze River Regional Center For Urban Innovation Strategy Research

With the development of economy and progress of society, central cities have more and more become a comparatively independent sub micro-environmental system with the effects of gathering and diffusing resources. The innovative abilities of cities directly decide the level and trends of urban economic prosperity. As being the"power plant"in promoting economic development of the nation and region, innovation strategy of central cities gradually becomes the leading factor of the economic development and social progress. Furthermore, the implementation of innovative strategy will have important emphasis on the national and regional innovative strategy as central cities plays the core role in national, regional and international market competition.This dissertation is focused on central cities in the area of upper reaches of Yangzi River, such as Chongqing, Chengdu, Kunming and Guiyang. Firstly, it establishes the fundamental theoretical framework of urban innovative system based on the theoretical review of urban innovative system, then discusses the connotation and components of urban innovative system, and also sets up a complete urban innovative system which is supported by seven sub systems including knowledge, technology, industry, environment, administration, system and culture system.In the last part, this dissertation starts with the evaluation of urban innovative ability and the constitution of the central cities innovative strategy. On the basis of theoretical framework, the article establishes an index system to evaluate urban innovative ability. By collecting a large quantity of data, with the help of SPSS software, it then synthetically ranks the scores of urban innovative ability of the four typical cities in the area of upper reaches of Yangzi River through factor and cluster analysis. According to the analysis of comprehensive evaluation results, this thesis points out the level, strength and weakness of its innovative ability, and establishes the outline, process and emphasis of the strategy.
