Studies On The Assessment Of Regional Tourism Sustainable Development

Tourism has become one of the fastest and main industries in the world. Refer to sustainable development tendency, sustainable development of tourism has gradually aroused the attention of governments and academics. Region is the site of development. It is an important practical significance to assess if tourism is sustainable and how to make tourism sustainable. In view of the above questions, the dissertation mainly works on sustainable development of region tourism and assessment methods.The characteristics of tourism were discussed. On the basis of the above, the evolution of sustainable tourism, the implication of sustainable tourism, the difference between sustainable tourism and mass tourism were analyzed.Region is the carrier of the human social and economic activity. Regional tourism study could be advantageous to the coordination of tourism and other related branches and in the prominent of each region tourism characteristic, strengthens region's attraction to the tourist. The dissertation expatiated on the implication, components, and principles of the regional tourism sustainable development. Based on the home and abroad study, the dissertation established the indicators of regional tourism sustainable development and synthetic evaluation method. And then, the tourism sustainable development system of Pan-pearl river delta including inland nine provinces from 1998 to 2003 was established. In order to be expressed vividly, the appraisal result was spatialized with the GIS software.
