The urban area is an organic system with extremely close social relations, in which human beings are the main body, taking the natural environment as backing and the economic activities as the foundation. Foreign scholars mostly focus on the developed market mechanism and mature city pattern and discuss the connocation and motive force mechanism of sustainable urban development from a single perspective, such as urban resources, environment, economy or society etc. Therefore, their theories are not systematic and overall, esp. lack of research about Chinese and a large number of developing countries' sustainable urban development.The power mechanism of the urban development is a complex system which provides the birth and development of the cities with power.
