A Study And Assessment On Vulnerability Of The Region Development

Region issue is always the significant academic and policy problem needs to be solved in the process of economic development and modernization in our country. The purpose of this dissertation is to set up a theory system, and use it to evaluate the vulnerability in region development, and bring forward the vulnerability evaluation models. At last the author applies these theories to analyze Hebei province development. The dissertation can be divided into 3 parts, and each of them as follows:The chapter 2 and 3 describe the research content about the vulnerability of region development. The author resumptively summarizes the theme and latest progress of vulnerability research and the theory of region sustainable development. And then presents the connotation of the vulnerability of region development, which should include cumulate vulnerability and concussive vulnerability according the external characteristic of region development, from the angle of the analysis of the region complex system, depicts the meanings of sustainable development, venture and crisis at the end of this part.The second part consists of chapter 4, 5, and 6. At the beginning, the author builds up the technical route for evaluation based on the evaluation content of regional development vulnerability; Secondly, after analyzing both typical region development vulnerability index system and the key factors of sub-region, the multi-dimensional index system of region development vulnerability is constructed, and using least squares method to filter the major indices; thirdly, because the region is usually big, so this dissertation adopts two different methods: (1) under the prime of the characteristics of region development, exerts the fuzzy clustering method to partition the whole region to sub-regions, and different vulnerable belts are marked. (2) Using analytical hierarchy process (AHP) to weight cumulate vulnerability's indices; and using fuzzy evaluation method to evaluate the current situations of cumulate vulnerability.
