China's Textile Industry And Technology Innovation System Research

The textile industry has long been China's pillar industry, which is also the third largestexport industry next to machinery & electronics industry and tourism. With the quotaelimination of some restraint products in US and EU, the prospect of global textileliberalization will bring new opportunities for Chinese textile industry to further broaden? market both home and abroad by better utilizing the resources.However, objectively, the impacts facing the Chinese textile industry are two-edged. At present, Chinese textile industry is still a traditional and labor-intensive one, with the low labor cost as its core edge. After the WTO entry, China will gradually set up a globally integrated market.Chinese textiles will continue to burden a heavy tariff concession. At the same time, many developing countries in South Asia and Mexico promptly boosted the textile industry based on their strong abilities in equipment, technology and management, which resulted in an increasingly severe international competition.At the moment, China textile industry is faced with restraint in backward technical innovation ability, equipment and craft. We need to give a full play to the competitive advantages to set our textile industry in a right foot in Asian and the world at large.Reasonable resources allocation is beneficial for the sustainable development of textile industry, and also we have to reverse the status of win by quantity. Furthermore, the technological innovation, the establishment and effective operation of technological innovation system in particular should be given a priority.Based on the technological innovation theory of Schumpeter, Edwin Mansfield and Moulton Carmon, with a view to the coordinating and sustainable development of the textile industry, this research elaborates the status quo of technological and scientific development of the textile industry using the relevant theories of regional economy, technological innovation, strategic management and complicated system. The research starts from the basis elements like strategic goals, environment, and core ability and analyzes the innovative process, innovative factors, innovation system, and proliferation model. It aims to give a comprehensive and objective analysis of status of Chinese textileinnovation and establish the innovation system and development strategy grounded on technological innovation, which can effectively incorporate the textile industry national economic and social development strategy and national technological innovation system. Furthermore, the research sets forth countermeasures respectively for different levels from central government to local government and other social entity. Those countermeasures include strategic goals, operating mechanism, organization structure, marketing, financing, human resources, information resources, agency services, etc.
