Research On Mining City Economy Transformation Theory & Evaluation Method

Mining city plays an important role in sustaining and improving national economy development. The issue of mining city economy transformation is a world wide problem. Based on the development of the mining city transformation theory and the achievements in this area home and abroad, this study analyzes the basic concepts and current situation of the mining city's economy transformation. By analyzing the transformation economy of Xuzhou in Jiangsu province, the study brings forward a new theory: Regional Harmonious Development Theory, and the Mining City's Economy Transformation Evaluation Target & Criteria. The following are the findings of this study:1. Through systematic study on development, transformation and evolution law of the mining city, this study clears up some concepts concerning mining city economy transformation, and sums up economy transformation theory system and puts forward a new theory - soft rib straighten theory or Regional Harmonious Development Theory.2. Through the analysis of both success and failure of mining city's economy transformation home and abroad, the study suggests four new economy transformation modes and indicates that Xuzhou virtually has adopted one of the four modes which has led to its success.3. By using system engineering theory method, 4 "first class" targets, 11 "second class" targets, and 40 "third class" targets, which compose the evaluation target system of mining city economy transformation are set up, and at the same time, the "third class targets" are divided into 6 determinate targets and 34 referenced targets according to their importance.4. Through manpower nerve meshwork method, the process of Xuzhou's economy transformation development is tested, and the future development of the city has been predicted.5. Some suggestions on further research in the following area are given such as macro policy system, technology system, evaluation system and talents system of mining city's economy transformation with the intention of strengthening the research in this area.
