This paper is concerned with the international competitiveness of apple juice in China.The analysis framework was constructed with the foundation of the international competitiveness theory of Michael Porter and comparative advantage theory, and identified the index system of international competitiveness in this paper.The paper researched the international competitiveness of apple juice in China systematically on the basis of the integrated use of economics and management,according to integration of empirical analysis and normative analysis, horizontal analysis and vertical analysis.The train of thought and logical framework in study is as follows: Firstly , on the basis of evaluating the Chinese apple juice production and trade,this paper draw on the achievements which have already been ,constructed the evaluation system of Chinese apple juice international competitiveness; And objectively evaluated and analyzed Chinese apple juice international competitiveness using empirical method and evaluation system constructed in the paper; further analyzed and evaluated the impacting factors of Chinese apple juice international competitiveness including domestic industry factors and the international trade environment factors (New trade barriers, anti-dumping , exchange rate fluctuations); Finaly,studied the developing strategy of Chinese apple juice industry ,from the elevation of international competitiveness of the Chinese apple juice industry.In accordance with logical structure, the thesis is planned for nine chapters, as follows:The first chapter is about introduction. It deals mainly with the background, the purpose and significance ideas and methods of the research. This chapter summarized the worthy from the main theory, important viewpoints and methods, on the basis of relevant research of apple juice international competitiveness at home and abroad. This paper studies the apple juice industry and the international competitiveness of products, mainly including price competitiveness, quality competitiveness, brand competitiveness, and so on. Today's apple juice to cover the international price competition and non-price competition, especially the quality, safety and the brand competition is becoming increasingly fierce. Therefore the research of Chinese apple juice international competitiveness must include the results and impacting factors,it should be based on apple juice industry in China and construct a reasonable research framework of international competitiveness. Based on the above analysis and judgment, the study highlights the international trade environment on the basis of Porter national diamond model, and constructed the framework of the Chinese apple juice international competitiveness.The second chapter is about analysis of the apple juice production and trade in China. To accurately grasp the apple juice market environment and international competition, this chapter analyzes the world apple juice production and trade, mainly including the world apple production, apple juice world trade, as well as the world's major producer of apple juice, the geographic consumption structure. On this basis, the analysis on China's apple juice production and trade, including apple production, apple juice production and trade, China's famous apple juice processing enterprises, as well as apple juice characteristics of stage in the development (stage of exploration, the growth stage, maturity stage). This chapter study shows that since the mid-1990s China's apple juice industry growing quickly, the international competitiveness noticeably improved. However, to further enhance its international competitiveness, there are still many deep-rooted problems.Chapter III is about evaluation index system of apple juice international competitiveness in China. This paper accurately defines apple juice competitive edge in the international connotation, to provide the theoretical basis for the evaluation index system and method of Chinese apple juice international competitiveness. On the basis of the analyzing the cost evaluation,Benchmarking evaluation method, identify the evaluation methods of Chinese apple juice international competitiveness-the Import and Export data method. In addition, in light of China's apple juice industry starting late and the characteristics lacking of data, Constructed the evaluation and measurement indicator system of Chinese apple juice international competitiveness, which mainly include the international market share(MS),NTB, RCA (Revealed Competitive Advantage index),CA, and the quality index and export price index.Chapter IV is about the empirical analysis of the apple juice international competitiveness in China. This chapter focuses on the empirical research according to Chinese apple juice exports and the competitiveness on the changes in the trend since 1990, and measure China's apple juice international competitiveness using MS, NTB, RCA,CA, Meanwhile to analyze the future development trend of Chinese apple juice international competitiveness.And Using this method to analyze apple juice international competitiveness of the United States, Germany, South Africa, Italy, revealed their apple juice international levels of competitiveness since 1990. On this basis of the foreign apple juice international competitiveness on comparative analysis, the results showed that the Chinese apple juice international competitiveness in the mid-1990s made rapid progress, and the other generally declining however, the Chinese apple juice international competitiveness in the short and medium-term will be slowdown in the growth rate. Chapter V is about the impacting factor of apple juice international competitiveness on domestic industry factors in China. This chapter focuses on deciding factor of China's apple juice international competitiveness. Involving two specific areas : firstly, focusing on price, quality, brand and other sectors, Analyzed the direct factors of Chinese apple juice international competitiveness; The second is based on the "national diamond" model, focusing on production factors, demand conditions, supporting industries and business competition of Chinese apple juice international competitiveness. Research showed that ,on using of Porter's six factors model to analyze Chinese apple juice international competitiveness when there is obviously insufficient,according to characteristics of China's apple juice industry,it is important for new trade barriers, anti-dumping, the Renminbi exchange rate fluctuations and other international trade environment factors .Chapter VI is about the international trade environment factors of the apple juice competitiveness in China. This chapter ,from the breakthroughs of new trade barriers, focuses on technical trade barriers, green barriers, social barriers on apple juice international competitiveness. First, to analyze technical barriers and the apple juice competitive edge in the international impact; Second, analyze the mechanism of green barriers, and the characteristics of Chinese apple juice trade in the international competition; Third, analyze the characteristics of social barriers on the Chinese apple juice international competitiveness. Research shows that China's apple juice trade impacted by new trade barriers heavily, measures must be taken to break new trade barriers, to further enhance the apple juice international competitiveness.Chapter VII is about the international trade environment factors of the apple juice competitiveness in China.This chapter focuses on "anti-dumping" measures of Chinese apple juice. On the basis of analyzing dumping, anti-dumping measures and their mechanism,take "Sino-U.S. anti-dumping apple juice case" as an example,to analyze anti-dumping in China's apple juice trade. Research shows that the anti-dumping is still a trade protectionist tool ,China's apple juice trade as well as the international competitiveness have been substantively damaged, we must take practical measures to deal with anti-dumping.Chapter VIII is about the international trade environment factors of the apple juice competitiveness in China. On the basis of analyzing the mechanism of changes in the exchange rate and the impact on international trade, this chapter focuses on the effect of the revaluation and devaluation of the RMB on our apple juice export trade. The results showed that the devaluation of the RMB is conducive to China's exports of apple juice, to enhance apple juice international competitiveness; revaluation of the RMB will affect the export of apple juice, reduce the profits of Chinese apple juice and the international competitiveness.should take measures to cope with China's RMB revaluation on the apple juice trade.Chapter IX is about the conclusions and recommendations for countermeasures. This chapter focuses on forecasting development trend of Chinese apple juice industry,to reveal such a major problem of Chinese apple juice industry in the development. In light of these problems, to promote Chinese apple juice industry competitiveness and achieve sustainable industry development, the paper proposed six countermeasures.
