Flexible production is a kind of advanced production mode,based on customers' order and market demand forecasts,which can greatly reduce production cost,shorten production cycle,improve equipment utilization and staff productivity,ameliorate product quality to meet customer needs bitterly and enhance the enterprises' flexibility and adaptability.Because the enterprises of flexible production are in a buyer's market, the customer demands are diversified and personalized.Product life cycles shorten greatly.The competition in the market is extremely fierce.These make the enterprises adjust their production plan and operation scheme according to the change of the market demands.Production in this way is fluctuating and passive.Accordingly,logistics management is featured as random and uncertain.Under these circumstances,the construction of a logistic system which fits to the characteristics and demands of flexible production is important to conduct flexible production effectively.This paper tries to explain the internal operation logics of the logistics system under the flexible production,using the knowledge and methods of systematic science,management science and information science.The construction of highly effective logistics systems meeting the demands of the flexible production is not only meaningful to the flexible production enterprises but also pragmatic to the development of a resource-saving and environment friendly society.This paper combines the methods of quality research,quantity research,demonstration research,criterion research,systematic research and key research.Lots of market investigations have been done in the research.Proceeding from the logistics,exploring researches are done in the definition of components of logistics system,system construction, system simulation and optimization,system feasibility and effectiveness evaluation.It aims at the fundamental description of the logistics system framework under the flexible production.The paper is composed of five parts,ten chapters in all.Part One:Raising the question.It is the Chapter One of the paper.The main contents are the goals,backgrounds and meanings of the research.The main research contents and methods and the major innovative areas are also demonstrated.Part Two:Theoretical analysis,which includes Chapter Two and Chapter Three of the paper.The main contents are:definition and objects of logistics system,analysis on the structure of system function,Logistics System Modeling and Simulation Research, principle analysis of "Antinomy",logistics outsourcing theory and the evolution of integrated logistics,supply chain management theory analysis,contents,features and function analysis of flexible production,framework building and analysis of logistics system in flexible manufacturers.Part Three:System Construction.It includes of Chapter Four,Chapter Five,Chapter Six and Chapter Seven,.The main contents are:the constructions of the procurement logistics system,production logistic system,sales logistics system and logistics information system under the flexible production.Part Four:System Simulation.This is Chapter Eight.The main contents include: simulation research on the procurement and distribution flow,production logistics balance and optimal order places in the simulation technology and measures.Optimal schemes are proposed according to the simulation results.Part Five:System Evaluation.It is Chapter Nine.The main contents are:evaluation on the operation of enterprises' logistics system under the flexible production,with the measure of DEA,through the construction of evaluation model and evaluation index system.The feasibility and effectiveness of the system are analyzed.Chapter Ten is the conclusion and research expectation.The conclusion is given in this part.The disadvantages and follow-up research emphases and directions are pointed out.The main innovation areas of this paper are the following six parts:First,based on the supply chain management theory,logistics outsourcing and integrated logistics theory,this paper applies the knowledge and methods of systems science,management science and information science to build an integration enterprise logistics systems of supply, production,and sales based on flexible production.Second,this paper exploratory constructs the strategic procurement program based on the improved Six Sigma mode,and carries out a detailed analysis and discussion about the four key factors affecting the success of strategic procurement,i.e.total cost of procurement,procurement strategy,procurement processes and procurement agencies,the relationship with suppliers;and corresponding solutions are put forwards,too.The co-ordination & communication abilities and Information Innovation Level are introduced in the supplier evaluation index system,which gives index system some characteristics of the time.The management methods of how to practice on-time logistics with Heijunka and Kanban management are also explained,and balance the production logistics from four aspects of keeping the balance of production line,recognition of bottle-neck resources,plan of production and operation and setting of cushion part.Third,this paper advances that using Web Services as the modular components to build flexible production logistics information system,and uses which as an alternative of conventional EDI to conduct logistics information system integration and carry out data exchange and transmission.It also builds a flexible production enterprise logistics information system based on Web Services, carries out the detailed design of information systems architecture and system function modules,and sets up the relevant design models.Fourth,Simul8 will be introduced in logistics simulation for the first time in this paper,and use it to build the simulation model of distribution and procurement business process;at the condition of out-of-stock,it uses Arena to construct the optimal order point simulation model under VMI,and advances the simulated optimization program.At the same time,it builds a flexible production enterprise logistics system assessment model by use of DEA,and designs the evaluation index system to evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of flexible production enterprise logistics system.
