The strategic decision makers' of bounded rationality has been highlighted in hypercompetition.Based on the characteristic of bounded rationality, the effect of strategic decision makers' management cognition must be consider in the process of researching the probrem of enterprises' competitive advantages in hypercompetition. However, researchers have not paid enough attention to the effect of bounded rationality in researching speed of strategic response and dynamic capabilities.Based on this research gap,this paper focus on:the effect of management cognition to speed of strategic response in hypercompetition, then explane how the knowledge structure of management cognition affects enterprise acquiring and maintaining competitive advantage.There are four subproblems(1) Whether the environmental dynamism affects the management cognition of strategic decision makers?(2) The effect of management cognition to speed of strategic response,included:whether the management cognition affects the speed of strategic response,and how it affects?Is the management cognition of strategic decision makers the intervening variable between environmental dynamism and speed of strategic response?(3) Tthe effect of management cognition to dynamic capabilities,included:whether the management cognition affects dynamic capabilities,and how it affects?Is the management cognition of strategic decision makers the intervening variable between environmental dynamism and dynamic capabilities?(4) How the knowledge structure of management cognition affects enterprise acquiring and maintaining competitive advantage?By literature researching, we made clear the intension and extension of management cognition:the definition, the levels of analysis, dimension and its effect; and defined the hypercompetition, speed of strategic response and dynamic capabilities,then summarized the literature of the effection of management cognition to decision making.To increase the practicability of research results and make clear the complex relationship among environment,the managemetn cognition of strategic decision makers,strategic behavior and organizational capacity,we carried out a case study on VANWARD GROUP, analyzed the development of management cognition from its foundation and its effect mechanism to the strategic behavior and organizational capacity.Based on literature researching and case study,a theoretical model has been constructed,which include environmental dynamism,management cognition,dynamic capabilities,speed of strategic respond and performance.And we deduce seven hypothesises about these above.We chose 152 pieces of data of public company for empirical researching, analyzed by SPSS and UCINET,then verify the hypothesises.Based on the results of empirical research,we drew some conclusions listed:Basic conclusion 1:The strategic making is bounded rational in hypercompetition.(1)the characteristic of environment affects the management cognition of decision makers;(2)The process of decision making is not only affected by environment,but also directly affected by management cognition.Management cognition is the intervening variable between environmental dynamism and dynamic capabilities,so is between environmental dynamism and speed of strategic response.Basic conclusion 2:Management cognition affects the speed of stategic resond to changes of environment,then affects the competitive advantage in hypercompetition.More complex the knowledge structure of management cognition is,the higher the speed of strategic respond is.Therefore, strategic decision makers should maitain certain complexity.Basic conclusion 3:Management cognition affects dynamic capabilities then affects the competitive advantage in hypercompetition. More complex the knowledge structure of management cognition is,stronger the dynamic capabilities is.Therefore, strategic decision makers should maitain certain complexity.The creative point of this paper is that:(1)By empirical researching,the intermediation of management cognition environmental dynamism and speed of strategic respond has been varified,and so has been the intermediation between environmental dynamism and dynamic capabilities.In hypercompetition, The strategic making is bounded rational.In this process,the management cognition of decision makers plays a important role.(2)The relationship among management cognition,strategic behavior and organizational capacity.We scanned the Structure View and RBV on the perspective of bounded rationality,and integrated these three theories, propose new ideas for the development of the theories of strategic behavior, organizational capacity.(3)The specific effection of knowledge structure of management cognition to acquiring and maintaining competitive advantage has beed made clear.At last,we give some advices for enterprise surviving and developping.Though there is some innovation in this paper,there is also certain shortage in it,which brings new research problem in the future.
