Preventing gas explosion just like preventing any other accidents, we must eliminate two directreasons of it, namely unsafe condition of object and unsafe act of people. There are already quitesome researches in the past about eliminating the former one. Studies on the latter one, on thecontrary, is relatively less which is the subject of this thesis. Applying the behavior-based accidentcausation “2-4” model to analyze the unsafe acts of201cases of major gas explosion accidentfrom the year2000to2009. In order to study the features of these unsafe acts, analysis from theaspects of operation, environment trait source and job type has been done. Get28operatingentities which can be divided into14categories based on the research of operation, and study theunsafe acts related to the operation of6typical categories of operating entities. As to environmenttrait source, the author selects5typical accident location for study. In terms of job type, the authorchooses5categories of job types which lead to gas accumulation or ignition source mostfrequently. The results proved that unsafe acts associated with ventilation power plant in operatingentities has more kinds and frequencies than others; tunnelling working and roadway area get themost kind and frequency unsafe acts of all the environment trait source; as to job type, ventilationtype of work has the most kind and frequency unsafe acts.
