Reasearch On The Relationship Between Safety Climate And Human Unsafe Behavior In Coal Mine

Coal is our basic energy which plays a vital role on China’s economic development. Inrecent years, although safety situation has improved, there are still some problems in safetyareas, safety situation is still grim. A large number of coal mine accident investigation andstatistical studies have shown that: Coal mine accidents caused by human unsafe behavioraccounted for over80%of total number of accidents. And safety climate is an importantfactor which affects human unsafe behavior in coal mine. Therefore, it is necessary to explorethe deep influence mechanism between safety climate and human unsafe behavior in coalmine, providing a theoretical basis for effectively reducing unsafe behavior of coal minersfrom the perspective of safety climate.On the basis of organizing the relevant literature at home and abroad, combining withChina’s actual situation of coal mining enterprises, the safety climate is divided into fivedimensions(including management’s attention, safety supervision, safety training, systems andregulations, worker behavior).And further, proposing research hypotheses. Accordingly,building a conceptual model of safety climate and human unsafe behavior in coal mine.Conducting data through questionnaire survey method on a coal mining enterprise.Moreover,testing the reliability and validity of the questionnaire by using SPSS18.0, drawing the initialmodel by using AMOS21.0, and conducting a number of its fitting, modification andevaluation, determining the final model. Meanwhile,decomposing the effects of the potentialvariables in the model.Though this study, some conclusions could be drawn as follows: The various dimensionsof safety climate have different effects on unsafe behavior,the impacts of the variousdimensions of safety climate on unsafe behavior descends as follows: safety supervision,worker behavior, management’s attention, safety training, systems and regulations. Theindirect effects of safety awareness between the various dimensions of safety climate andhuman unsafe behavior in coal mine are different, descended as follows: safety training, systems and regulations, management’s attention, worker behavior, safety supervision.Based on the research results above, coal enterprise managers can focus on the factorswhich have important influences on unsafe behavior, improve the factors which have smallereffects on unsafe behavior according to the size of the total effects that the various dimensionsof safety climate have on unsafe behavior, and combine with the size of indirect effects thatsafety awareness between the various dimensions of safety climate and human unsafebehavior, to reduce the unsafe behavior of the coal miners, to realize the safe production andefficient production of coal mining enterprises from the perspective of safety climate.
