Research On Coordinated Development Of Regional Transport Integration In The Pearl River Delta

Regional transport integration is a kind of regional transport coordinateddevelopment model which breaks regional administrative, sector andgeographical boundaries, and makes unified planning, management,organization and deployment for all of regional transport resources(infrastructure, transport vehicles and information).This paper takes the region in the Pearl River Delta for the researchobjective, focuses the current problems and development trends in regionaltransport system, proposes the coordinated development model of regionaltransport integration in the Pearl River Delta. Main contents are:(1) Based on exploring and defining the concept of regional transportintegration, analyze basic features and measures of regional transportintegration.(2) Based on making a depth study of transport development status in thePearl River Delta, and combing policy orientation and objective demands,analyze the future trends of regional transport development in the Pearl RiverDelta, use the method of SWOT to analyze the coordinated developmentstrategy of regional transport integration in the Pearl River Delta, learn frominternational and domestic experience of regional development, accordingly,discuss the necessity and feasibility of coordinated development of transportintegration in the Pearl River Delta.(3) According to the two major directions of coordinated development oftransport integration: overall optimization of various modes of transport andcoordinated optimization of breaking the administrative divisions, and buildsthe mathematical model of the coordinated development of regional transport:take passenger transport for the objective, use the theory of structureoptimization of composite transport channel, under the condition of coordinateddevelopment of transport integration, and build logit model of how toreasonably allocate passenger for various modes of transport; Take highwaysystem for the objective, and propose the optimization model of regional roadnetwork integration breaking the administrative divisions. (4) Establish the evaluation indicator system of the development status ofregional transport integration, and makes the studies of the calculation ofindicator property valve and the dimensionless issue, and discuss thedetermining and evaluating methods of the weights of the evaluation indicators.Make an actual evaluation of transport integration status in the Pearl River Delta,accordingly, to verify the practicability of evaluation indicator systems andmethods.(5) Through the relevant research analysis of the existing problems oftransport integration in the Pearl River Delta, propose the policies and measuresto promote the coordinated development of transport integration in the PearlRiver Delta, and provide the decision-making suggestions for governmentdepartments and relevant divisions to promote transport integration process inthe Pearl River Delta.The theoretical significance is to define the concept of regional transportintegration, and build the mathematical model of regional transportintegration.The real significance is to verify the feasibility of coordinateddevelopment of regional transport integration by the quantitative analysis andevaluation of the development status of transport integration in the Delta,provide implementation strategy for coordinated development of the integration,accordingly, set up a bridge between the theory and practice of coordinateddevelopment of regional transport integration.
