Highway slope is an important part of the highway project, the safety of the slope related to highway construction and operational security. It requires highway slope design is reasonable and economy for ensure the safety of the highway project.The requirements of highway slope are no disasters during the process of highway construction. But now the highway slope failure accidents are very common, the reason is the differences of the highway slope information. The differences led to the design accuracy depend on the designer’s experience. So the key issues in the construction of highway slope are rationality of the design under the conditions of information differences.Based on the analysis for slope stability and the prediction and evaluation of deformation and failure, highway slope designer selects the reinforcement measures. Correlation of the reinforcement measures with slope characteristics and slope stability is the precondition of the reasonable design of slope. Highway slope design must be reasonable under the conditions of information differences. This needs rich and accurate information extracted from the Highway Slope Stability Factors. This paper taking large amounts data of highway slope of Sichuan province as a base, considering slope shape, engineering geological conditions and environmental-conditions, determine the evaluation factors of highway slope from the highway slope stability factors. The research results provide the basis for the establishment of the highway slope design method under the conditions of information differences.The rich information is contained in construction achievements of Sichuan highway slope, this information can be used to guide the design of highway slope. The highway slope database be established based on Access, this database provide a platform of information collection, management and applications.The highway slope designer can query design example in the database, the risk of slope design can be reduced through provide a reference for highway slope design decisions.In the highway slope design process, Reinforcement scheme decision is the key issue related to highway slope design reasonable and economy. Because the diversity of reinforcement scheme and the complexity of highway slope conditions, the principle is full account of local experience when making decisions. Based on a large number of highway slope design information of Sichuan province, Summary of the Sichuan highway slope typical reinforcement scheme, The suitable evaluation factors to select as the reference variable, Using statistical methods to study on the suitability for highway slope reinforcement scheme decision, conditions and scope of application for Sichuan typical road slope reinforcement scheme are gotten, Research results provide a basis for reinforcement scheme decision of Sichuan highway slope design.Due to the highway slope’s large quantity and Information and complexity have differences, the highway slope design method under the conditions of information differences is hierarchical design. The highway slopes be divided simple slope and complex slope, the height is less than30m of rock slope or20m of soil slope is simple slope according to norm provision. Simple slope using a simple analogy to determine the slope rate and protective measures based on slope height and slope type. Complex slope using the two-level design method, the level1design is quantitative analog and the level2design is dynamic design.By the impact of low level of highway engineering investigation, slope design has risk due to poor information, The design results depends on the designer’s experience. In this paper, the highway slope as a gray system, This paper adopt the grey quantitative analog method, and select the Sichuan highway slope Project which has accumulated data for a long time as the analog project to predict the reinforcement scheme decision.On the basis of the level1design, according to the scale and importance of the highway slope, the level2design is more detailed, targeted dynamic design. The Level2design is a combination of survey, design, construction and on-site monitoring based on information-feedback. This paper introduces the main procedure of design and illustrates the design process by design examples.The slope design of Disaster in operational process is a special stage of the level2design. Based on typical slope, this paper studies the stability and treatment design of the slope in approximate level red-bed soft rock. The rainwater infiltration characteristics of slope studied by numerical simulations and the microscopic structure of the mudstone studied by electron microscope, the result shows during the rainfall process there is a negative correlation between slope stability and the intensity and time of rainfall. Based on the results, this paper chooses anchor cable frame and anchor pole frame are used to reinforce the slope. It can provide reference for the stability of slope in approximate level red-bed soft rock in operational process.
