Manufacturing is an important pillar of China’s economic and social development. In the new century, in order to meet the growing demands for product diversification and individualization, many advanced manufacturing enterprises at home and abroad are committed to enhancing their market competitiveness through improving the ability, mastering the methods, learning the theory and employing the tools concerning product innovative design. Therefore, how to improve the product innovative design ability that can respond rapidly to market requirements, meet customers’demands and fulfill the intelligent request, how to accelerate the product design cycles, and how to reduce product design and manufacturing costs become the pursuing goals of all enterprises. This dissertation researches and explores the key technology of product innovative design and the construction of integrated application platform for product innovative design. The major contents include:(1) Constructing an analysis model of customer requirements for product innovative design oriented, in which characteristics of customer requirements are pointed out, the methods of customer requirements acquisition are summarized, classification of the customer requirements based on product attributes is implemented, customer requirements are descried through semantic decomposition, semantic transition, as well as requirements merger and expansion, and a structured expression model that expresses the customer requirements in a hierarchy order is constructed. Based on the additive consistent fuzzy matrix, this paper puts forward a method for customer requirements weights calculation named Euclidean space distances weighting ranking method. Besides, this paper constructs a multiple weight vectors structured customer requirements weights calculation model on the basis of fuzzy analytic hierarchy process and entropy processing method. Combining with the instances of numerical control machine key parts’customer requirements weights calculation, the customer requirements weights calculation model is validated. Through the function description of customer requirements, the customer requirements’function attributes expression matrix is constructed.(2) In order to study and improve the idea generation course in the process of product innovative design, a structured idea generation tool called idea generation structured graphical representation method is proposed. The theoretical basis and key technologies of idea generation structured graphical representation method are introduced. This paper puts forward a research method for idea generation cognitive experiments based on protocol analysis and linkography, introduces the theoretical basis and technique of the experiment approaches, and conducts the design of the experiment approaches. This paper analyzes and calculates the idea output methods using protocol analysis and linkography, draws and analyzes the variation trend curves through the point fit of different entropy, and examines the output quality and output efficiency of the idea generation techniques.(3) In this paper, a kind of hybrid intelligence innovation design model is proposed, and the design process of the hybrid intelligent innovation design is presented. This paper constructs the case of tool spindle attributes index, calculates the instance similarity using the improved nearest neighbor algorithm, evaluates the instance using the grey relational analysis method, and realizes the design of reasoning machine based on case. In addition, based on genetic algorithm, an optimization design model of CNC machine tools spindle components is established, and combining with the instance of CK40-750CNC machine’s spindle components, the spindle optimization design is validated. This paper also discusses parameterized modeling method based on the main part model, introduces parameterized variant design process based on the main model with UG as the platform, conducts the research on the knowledge acquisition way of CNC machine tools spindle components, and classifies the knowledge of spindle components. The production rules and object-oriented technologies are applied to represent the knowledge of CNC machine tools spindle components.(4) This paper defines the concept of product innovate design integration platform for innovative design of products, proposes the organization implementation model of innovate design, and constructs a product innovate design process model using UML modeling method. Taking TCEng as the innovative design integration platform, the architecture of product innovate design integration platform is put forward. Based on the key technology of the platform’s subsystems, this paper develops customer’s requirements analysis and requirement weight calculation subsystem, idea concept solving subsystem, CBR subsystem of CNC tool spindle, intelligent optimization design subsystem of CNC tool spindle, parameterized variant design subsystem of CNC tool spindle and an innovation knowledge base of CNC tool spindle based on database technology. With the multiple view method and based on the model of PSM, the construction and management of x-BOM in the process of product innovation is completed. Through the technology of XML, heterogeneous data integration and transmission based on TCEng is accomplished.(5) This paper explores the implementing process of product innovative design platform that is based on TCEng, and introduces the composing of the platform system and the functions of each module. Combining with the instances of spindle box parts design of certain precision processing lathe, the application research of product innovative design platform based on TCEng is carried out.
