Research On Construction Of Multi-generational Living System Based On Public Housing

Due to the rapid aging of population ahead of modernization, the unsynchronization between aging process and economy development leads to "old before getting rich","not prepared to old" phenomena. Meanwhile, the impact of family planning policy, the change of family structure, the weakening function of family to the old, and the reducing intergenerational support, all the above put the aging issue of low-income families, especially the old in "sandwich" position, in trouble; What’s more, the missing of city spirit, negative intergenerational relations, alienated neighborhood, aging design gap in affordable housing system, those factors results in that homecare environment of low-income families is not ideal.Based on the above background and reviews of literature from home and abroad, this dissertation innovatively proposed that combing affordable housing and low-income families to build affordable multi-generational residence system. The system covers space, function, behavior of the three dimensions of content, and melts the architectural aspects of the planning and intergenerational solidarity on sociological level, for the old services together. Meanwhile, the innovative core model proposed in affordable multi-generational residence system is construction of "Intergenerational Assistance Module ", which can bear to not only planning and design-oriented living space construction requirements, but also with the assistance of community-oriented service requirements. Expressed from the three levels of the city, the community, and residence unit, the system aims to establish intensive and efficient protection of "multi-generational housing," create economic and reasonable, appropriate and reliable residence space for the old. It will not only solve the housing problems of low-income families, but also deal with the needs of low-income families under the rapid aging process in the long-term.This paper is divided into four parts. The first part put out the question, which is the content of the first chapter, explaining the research background and framework. The second part is to analyze the problem, which is the content of the second chapter, analyzing the theory both domestic and inter-generational, on multi-generation living research, community intergenerational solidarity. The third part is the construction of system, including the third and fourth chapters, covering the research framework and the core model. The last part is the operation framework, which contents chapters5,6, guiding the implementation of the operating level on residence space and community.
