The village,as the birthplace of civilization,is an indispensable part of society. However, with the development of society and economy, modern villages are showing the characteristics of "aging","less children",and "empty nesting".Many families are lacking in modernity, leading to the breakdown of the family relationship network,"Left-behind Children" and " "Empty Nest Elderly People" has become two unique groups in the countryside, and at the same time has shown its own unique needs.Due to the severe cold weather in the northern rural areas, the villagers spend a lot of leisure time during this period.Villagers basically stayed at home during this period, and there is rarely interact with the outside world. At the same time, the lack of natural population levels has caused some difficulties in the lives of children and the elderly.Lonely and helpless. The existing child care facilities, elderly activity space and medical system in the villages are all missing.Villagers, especially the left-behind children and the elderly, cannot be guaranteed their lives, which has become an urgent problem. This article will take Liaoyang City as an example, and mainly explore the design of the "multi-generation housing" model and supporting buildings to solve the problem of child care and old-age care in the northern rural areas. These include the characteristics of the village in Liaoyang City, the causes of "left-behind children" and the "empty nest elderly" and their needs, and discusses the ways of maintaining the "multi-generation house" model construction, operation, and the maintenance of relationship networks and their maintenance based on the characteristics of the northern region.Design of ancillary buildings. The "multi-generation house" model is to break the boundaries of the traditional home model and build a platform for interaction at villages and towns level to increase the possibility of spontaneous and self-sufficient interactions between generations. The construction of multi-generation houses is based on psychology and society.Study on the construction situation of the "multi-generational house" model in the northern countryside from multiple perspectives such as science, planning and architecture. This article is divided into five parts: The first part mainly discusses the research background and significance of the problem, determines the content, method and related framework of the research;the second part analyzes the characteristics of Liaoyang City, focusing on two categories The reasons for the disadvantaged groups and their physical and psychological needs;the third part explores the construction, operation, and maintenance of the relationship network of the "multi-generation house" model, and each participant promotes the possibility of villagers to have multiple modes of interaction at the village and town level to ensure the realization of the core concept of "multi-generation mutual assistance";the fourth part analyzes the site selection, scale, space form and design of supporting environmental facilities of the "multi-generation house" building, laying a solid foundation for the construction of rural areas in the north The theoretical basis;the fifth part selects two rural areas in Liaoyang City for practical engineering design based on the exploration of the "multi-generation house" building form, and verifies the ideas and theories in this article realistically.
