Research On Smart Construction Project Information Management Model Based On Smart Construction Theory

Construction project management is collaboratively fulfilled by multitype workers and multi-agent from different departments, so there is large amounts of information to be managed in each stage of construction project. With rapid development of construction industry, the amount and complexity of construction project information are growing, because the construction project scale is much larger and the process of construction project is more complicated than before. Nonetheless, vacant theoreties and behindhand methods of construction project information management, and low level of emerging information technologies application result in the problem of “information islands” in construction projects. There is a great gap of Information technology application and integration in home and abroad, and application efficiency of emerging information technologies is very low in China. Although construction industry in China has a increasing investment on informationization and application of emerging information technologies research in recent years. Under the background, studying problems of construction project information management, and establishing the frames of Smart Construction Theory and smart construction project information management model have very important theoretical and practical significances for construction industry informationization in China, undoubtedly.Based on the research status at home and abroad, the research object of the paper is problems of construction project information management, and theoretical basis of the paper is Smart Construction Theory. In addition, aimed at practical problems of construction project, breakthrough of the paper are application and integration of a variety of emerging information technologies, theory combined with practice, and qualitative analysis combined with quantitative analysis. Therefore, the research contents of the paper include five aspects: Smart Construction Theory and it’s implementation mechanism, smart construction project information management modeling, submodels of smart construction project information management model, Cost management function implementation of smart construction project information management model, and evaluation of smart construction project information management model.Smart Construction Theory are proposed in the paper. Through literature research, the paper analyzes idea origin, theoretical basis and technical support of Smart Construction Theory, and puts forward the connotation of it. Moreover, application and integration of emerging information technologies within Smart Construction Theory are analyzed, such as BIM, internet of things, ubiquitous computing and 4D visualization. System framework and key technical problems of Smart Construction Theory are proposed. The research indicates the direction of subsequent theory research and practice research on Smart Construction Theory.Based on Smart Construction Theory, the paper uses engineering feature modeling and double information modeling methods to build smart construction project information management model. After empirical research and reframing of construction project information management theory, the main root resulting in problems of modern construction project information management is analyzed. Thus the research object and scope are determined. On this basis, the framework, submodels, and three dimension function system of smart construction project information management model are built by parametric modeling, application and integration of a variety of emerging information technologies in Smart Construction Theory. The research provides an effective method to solve problems of construction project information management.According to different needs of the parties of construction project management, 8 kinds of submodels of smart construction project information management model are built. Based on methods of data mining, text mining, IFC Standard, information extraction mechanism, information management module and information integration process of submodels are proposed in the paper. Meanwhile, from the angle of the entities and attributes of submodels, extraction, definition and integration process of submodels are designed.The paper researches on realization of smart construction project information management model- cost management function as an example, and smart cost management is proposed. Compared with traditional cost management methods, research background, concept and range of Smart Cost Management are analysed. By summarizing advantages, organization and operation of smart cost management, lots of smart cost information management methods are put forward, including methods of extraction, definition and integration of smart cost information. Based on smart construction project information management model and it’s submodels, the research takes cost management function to reason by analogy other functions of the model, and is an implementation example of submodel.In the evaluation of smart construction project information management model, the paper uses Delphi method to construct evaluation index system of the model, the paper use questionnaire survey and expert interview to collect data, the paper use SPSS and AMOS software package for reliability and validity analysis, structural equation model and correlation and regression analysis. According to these analysis, evaluation results of the model are discussed. The research provides solutions and suggestions for improvement and further research on Smart Construction Theory and smart construction project information management model.In sum, the paper breaks through the present academics research perspective, and has not only scientific and reasonable research process, but also effective research results. The research revolves information management problems based on Smart Construction Theory, builds system framework of smart construction project information management modeling. In this paper, research methods and results provide a new construction project management theory and feasible solutions for practical problems, such as construction low efficiency, information island, application and integration of emerging information technology in construction industry. Furthermore, the paper provided theoretical guidance and realizing approach to study construction project information management.
