Research On Construction Project Cost Management Based On BIM

The construction industry is one of the strut industry in national economy, with the high speed development of the real estate and the marketization of government investment, its scale is constantly expanding. But as a relatively extensive traditional industry, with the marketization and internationalization of competition, both construction companies and real estate companies must manage the construction project more sophisticated, in order to improve the competitiveness of the enterprise.Construction cost management rely on taking active and passive measures in the whole process from project budget to final building cost, reduce the various risks which is not controllable. But in the actual construction process, these phenomenon exists generally: information faulting, consumption of artificial, material and machinery exceeding the quota, cost overruns, cost controlling is not strict and response lagging etc. Although various methods of management were used in cost control, such as the quota designing, Earned value Management(EVM), separation of quantity and price, cost accounting, and these methods resolved above problems to a large extent, but the “three extra” phenomenon in cost management still exists.The proposing and application of Building information modeling(BIM), broke down the information gap among project participants, solved the problems of information isolated island in the project life cycle, provides a platform for working together and information sharing, which can solve the problems of information faulting, management is not efficiency, response lagging etc.This paper based on this background, with the research methods of literature research, comparative analysis, combination of theories and practice, discussed the cost management based o n BIM from the perspective of information management, including the information building, transmission, processing and applying, obtained the following conclusions:1, Put forward the expression demand model of cost management information based on BIM, and discussed whether the BIM Technology can express and transmit these information, verified the technical feasibility of the application of BIM in construction project cost management;2, Established the standard of modeling a BIM cost information model and the supplementary and improve mechanism for the cost information;3, Compared and analyzed the principle, advantages and disadvantages of three kind of BIM cost information extraction, provides references for the selection of practical engineering application;4, Discussed the point of application for the cost management based on BIM from the perspective of cost planning, control, accounting and analysis, established the workflow of cost management based on BIM. Proved that the application of BIM Technology in construction cost management can effectively improve the level of cost management, and it's worthy to be popularized in the project implementation process.
