Hunan Buddhism originated in the Western Jin Ta i Shi four years(AD 268 years), when Zhu Fachong created Changsha Lushan temple, dati ng back more than 1700 years of history.In this period of history, Hunan Buddhism derived from a number of influential monasteries, six of which including Lushan Temple are designated as national key monasteries, four of which including Nanyue Nantai Temple are recognized as ancestorsby Japanese Buddhism.However, after experiencing so many wars and the events of destructing Buddha, the ancient temples in Hunan area are very few.More unfortunately, some systematic researcheson them inthese years are also very few.In addition, ancient temple in Hunan by Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism and pluralistic culture in varying degrees of influence that in Buddhism and Taoism, Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism culture symbiosis of widespread.From the dominant perspective, and Taoist temple conversion, temple and the college merged in many cases.Therefore, based on the multicultural influence of ancient Buddhist temple construction in Hunan as the subject, through extensive research and system analysis, trying to draw a reasonable conclusion on the architectural level of ancient temples in Hunan, and provide a feasible suggestion for the protection and reuse of the temple architecture.The according to province 32 more complete preservation of the Buddhist temple of research results and the 24 detailed mapping of data draw more than 200 plan, elevation and related analysis, combined with nearly a million copies of photos and local chronicles of Hunan ancient temple spatial form, building shape and decorative arts, the detailed analysis, focuses on the research of the relationship between multi culture and Hunan ancient temple architecture and obtain some useful results.In the distribution of statistics, especially in southern Hunan Nanyue temple area and most densely distributed in the area of Hunan, the conclusion, minimum area of Xiangxi; in the location and environment, analysis of temple architecture generally focus on the equal relationship with the surrounding buildings; in the overall pattern, the negation of eternal and natural Temple the whole building pattern, do not follow the construction mode of a single conclusion; in space, summed up the temple basically follows the "Buddha", "law", "monk" function composition, characteristics of both dynasties Temple architectural style; in architectural style, in-depth analysis of the Bell Tower and Drum Tower, King Hall, the hall of Maitreya the main hall, twelve temple building; in the decorative arts, summed up the temple architecture generally choose natural decorative theme, its architectural color was also low-key simple, as far as possible to the original and cyclical nature on the use of materials.These six aspects based on the influence of multi culture on the temple architecture, combined with the scale of 415 ancient Buddhist temples, 30 copies of the existing temple status assessment table and 36 copies of the temple building map, forming a certain degree of Hunan Buddhist temple of the digital information file, to a certain extent, make up for the lack of Hunan ancient Buddhist temple building assessment and digital protection.The thesis consists of ten chapters: the first chapter is the introduction, including research background, significance, literature review, content and framework; the second chapter expounds the basic content of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism and cultural diversity; the third chapter discusses the development situation of Hunan Buddhism and Buddhist temples; fourth, the five chapter studies the multi Hunan ancient Buddhist temple culture and space form of correspondence; sixth, seven, eight chapter focuses on the analysis of cultural diversity in Hunan under the influence of the ancient Buddhist temple site environment, space form, architectural style and decoration art; the ninth chapter analyzes the different regions of Hunan typical case of Buddhist temple; the tenth chapter discusses the adaptability of modern Hunan Buddhism and Buddhist temples, finally put forward the construction mode of religious space conform to the modern believers Buddha needs.
