Clinical Effectiveness Of Invigorating The Kidney And Resolving Phlegm Treating Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome

ObjectiveTo observe the variation of clinical symptoms, pregnancy rate, basal body temprature(BBT), body mass index(BMI), crinosity, acne, ovarian volume, sex hormone (FSH, LH, LH/FSH, E2, T) after Liuwei Dihuang plus Cangfu Daotang decoction and Cangfu Daotang decoction respectively treating Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. To research the possible pathogenesis of Liuwei Dihuang plus Cangfu Daotang decoction treating Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.MethodsCollecting 40 patients who were diagnosed deficiency of kidney and sputum dampness syndrome Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome by The first affiliated hospital of Guangzhou university of TCM clinic. These patients were randomly divided into two groups, treatment group and control group. Treatment group (20 patients) were given Liuwei Dihuang plus Cangfu Daotang decoction, meanwhile, control group(20 patients) be given Cangfu Daotang decoction, after six month, we observe the variation of clinical symptoms, pregnancy rate, basal body temprature (BBT), body mass index (BMI), crinosity, acne, ovarian volume and sex hormone (FSH、LH、LH/FSH、 E2、T) to evaluate the effect of the treatment.Results1. Comparison between treatment group and control group before remedy:Among the two groups, the ages, the course of disease, Chinese medicine symptom score, basal body temprature (BBT), body mass index (BMI), crinosity, acne, ovarianvolume and sex hormone (FSH、LH、LH/FSH、E2、T) had no significant differences,with comparable(all P>0.05).2. Comparison of respective treatment group and control group before and after remedy:Levels of Chinese medicine symptom score, basal body temprature (BBT), body mass index (BMI),crinosity, acne, ovarianvolume, sex hormone (FSH、LH、 LH/FSH、E2、T) and pregnancy in the two groups after treatment were significantly improve than before treatment, and the difference was significant (all P<0.05).3. Comparison between treatment group and control group after remedy:Levels of Chinese medicine symptom score, basal body temprature (BBT), body mass index (BMI), crinosity, acne, ovarianvolume, sex hormone (FSH、LH、LH/FSH、E2、T) and pregnancy in the treatment group were significantly improve than control group, and the difference was significant (all P<0.05).ConclusionThis research is aimed at studing the clinical effect and mechanism of Liuwei Dihuang plus Cangfu Daotang decoction to treat deficiency of kidney and sputum dampness syndrome Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. The result show that the total effective rate of Liuwei Dihuang plus Cangfu Daotang decoction treating deficiency of kidney and sputum dampness syndrome Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome was better than the control group. Liuwei Dihuang plus Cangfu Daotang decoction can obviously improve the patient’s menstrual disorder, crinosity acne score, BMI, BBT, ovarian volume, sex hormone, pregnancy the symptom such as dizziness tinnitus, lassitude in loin and legs, chest tightness suffused with evil and god tired limbs heavy. In the long term, Liuwei Dihuang plus Cangfu Daotang decoction has important implications for reducing the development of endometrial carcinoma, diabetes, atherosclerosis and ischemic heart disease with PCOS, without liver and kidney impairment. It is safe, effectivitya and has extensive application prospects. Liuwei Dihuang plus Cangfu Daotang decoction achieved significant therapeutic effect in treatmenting deficiency of kidney and sputum dampness syndrome Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.
