With the rapid development of world economy development in recent years, the people’sliving standard has been greatly improved. Tourism has gradually become an important part ofpeople’s daily life and it also has become an important source of income in some countriesand regions. With the development of the process of tourism’s routinization andaestheticization, its influence and the importance has become very remarkable. It takes effecton the economy which reflects the continuous demand for the tourism industrialization. Whenit takes effects on the academic field, it will be shown that it is eager to summarize thetourism aesthetic characteristics. While there exist some industrial and aesthetic issues thatsurround the tourism activities. They have a very special relationship. In the theory, they seemto belong to different fields, but in the actual application process, they interact each other andinfiltrate each other. However, any academic research is almost the summary which is aboutthe theory of life’s phenomena. This thesis also dose. To face the Chinese increasing demandfor tourism, the prosperous tourism activities and the rapid development of the tourismindustry, we need the essential guidance and conclusion. This kind of theoretical research isnot only a simple academic activity, but also a theoretical consideration which contributes thehealthy development of a country, an industry and a study.Tourism phenomenon has aroused the attention in the twentieth century. But in China theresearch which is about tourism aesthetics has not begun until the1980’s. At that time manypeople did the research on tourism aesthetics as a branch of aesthetics. And with theregression of aesthetics, it fades out of people’s academic vision. Although some scholars didso many contributions on the research and tried to combine the tourism aesthetics with thetourism industry and guide the tourism industry which is under the theory of aestheticsdevelop healthy, it is lack of systematic, comprehensive, macroscopic theory research on thewhole. They cannot adapt the rapid development of tourism industry and aesthetic need.Based on this, this thesis tries to break the boundaries between the tourism aesthetics andtourism industry and combines them together and tries to realize the function that theoryguide the practice.This thesis divides into four parts. First of all, it will do the theoretical research on tourismaesthetics which follows the principle of the archaeology knowledge. It will seize the timeline of tourism aesthetics and according to this do the synchronic study. It will be involvedsome related study field and try to show a clear picture of comprehensive study of tourismaesthetics. The second part will explore the essence of tourism aesthetics which is mainly base on the ontology. During the process from the tourism as the human activities to the tourism ashuman special aesthetic activities, we strip the inherent power and the nature of activities. Inthe comparison to the other related activities, we found the essence of aesthetics of tourismactivities. And it is also the very special nature of tourism aesthetics which is different fromother activities. The third part will study the tourism aesthetics subject and object from theepistemology level. Based on the large amount of research on related theories ofcontemporary tourism culture, aesthetics, environmental aesthetics, ecological aesthetics,landscape aesthetics, art aesthetics, it uses an non-dualism and philosophical perspective andcombines with aesthetics sociology and aesthetic psychology to explore the unique aestheticfeatures of tourism subject and object and also the relationship between the internal andexternal. The fourth part will do the research from the level of value which is combined withaesthetics of tourism and tourism industry. Firstly, it will explore the ontology of tourismindustry and make industrialization and aesthetics of tourism activities combine together.Then when we will narrow the scope of the tourism industry study and highlight the regionalform of tourism industry, we will find the aesthetics problem during the process of specificdevelopment and management. Finally, it will combine a case of Changbai Mountain whichmakes it into a demonstration point. During the process of exploitation, development andmanagement, we will find the universal problems of Chinese tourism. The experience and thelesson will show the importance of the research on tourism aesthetics and its practicalapplication.As a summarized and prospective study on tourism aesthetics and tourism industry, thisthesis explores a suitable theory for the development of Chinese current tourism aestheticsfrom theoretical to the practical, from macro perspective to the micro perspective. I hope itwill do the contributions to the Chinese academic and China’s economic development.
