Distribution Statistics And Substitution Analysis For The Korean Particle Of Ga And Neun

The particle is divided into case particle and special particle in the traditional research of grammar, the case particle has the grammar function only, and the special particle has the semantics function. The dual categorical partition cannot explain the phenomenon of the ambiguity to particle function in the practical application well. The case particle and the special particle are classified into one semantics category in some current study on the particle, and it emphasizes the commonness between the two kinds of particle, but it cannot explain well the question that they have the same semantic function; it also cannot point the basic grammar form of the two kinds of auxiliary and the differences between them.This paper’s basic standpoint:there is homogeny in the basic grammar form signification, they have the grammar signification of connection of the antecedent and the after word or the account relation, both of them belongs to the scope of conjunction or relative, but their connect function is different, the connection of the case particle is compact, and the special particle if opposite. The basic grammar form signification of the case particle and the particle derive the Syntactic meaning and the Pragmatic meaning, both of them have the meaning expansion in the same time, but the expansion is different, syntax’s ambiguity is functional.According to the following the study thoughts and method, this paper explains the above standpoint from the angle of cognitive linguistics.Firstly, it discusses the categorization of the particle, and then study the relation between the case particle and the case, and also the relation of the case particle and the special particle. It explains the cross connection of the two kinds of particles in the categorization.Secondly, it discusses the highlight of the subject and the topics, and then it explains the relation of the subject and the topics by the analysis of the conception and the form to them in the predecessors’study, because of the highlights, both of them have the function of cognitive reference point.Third, it counts the preposition of the ga and neun and the distribution probability of the predicate and the suffix separately in the spoken corpus and the written corpus, and then study the grammar function ambiguity and the main different grammar function of the ga and neun through the tendentiousness analysis of pare of speech, sentence constituent, distribution of sentence type.This paper demonstrates the pragmatic function ambiguity and the difference of the main pragmatic function for the word of ga and neun, according to the method of replacement analysis, and the analysis scope is the different pragmatics type in the spoken corpora.This paper has three innovative points.Firstly, it breaks the category dualism between the case particle and the special particle, and then explains the function ambiguity of the auxiliary by the categorization and the construal theory. The discussion process of function ambiguity for the particle just as from prototype categorization to the non- categorization, and it returns to the beginnings in the end, both of the subject and the topic are cognitive reference points, the specific particle has the prominent function for the subject and topic.It explains the function difference of the ga and neun and their grammar function ambiguity objectively by the method of database comparison. This paper compares the parallel corpus with the special corpus, the same as the spoken corpus and the written corpus.The pragmatic environment is micro in this paper, and then it discusses the function difference and the pragmatic function ambiguity of the ga and the neun in the different pragmatic environment.This paper demonstrates the differences between the ga and neun from the level of cognitive, morphological meaning, grammar and discourse pragmatics, there is a clear outline for the basic function and relation of the different levels, and this is the main contribution of this paper. It provides the methodology and new study angle for the Korean education and the Korean grammar research.
