China and Vietnam are neighbors sharing the same mountains and rivers. Though Vietnam is deeply influenced by China’s culture,but there are also many diffrences between the traditional culture,life styles,customs and religious.so they tend to be different when expressing the same thing, then a gap shows between them on languages and ethnic culture.The idiom is a fixed term, which is a special kind of language, also considered as a treasure trove of language. Idioms can show the history and culture of a region, a nation or a country. So far, the research on Chinese idioms have attracted much attention from linguists, especially compared it with other languages, and valuable results are obtained. On the other hand, in recent years, with the development of cognitive linguistics based on the embodied philosophy, many Chinese and foreign scholars showed a strong interest on issues related to human body words,and it has become a hotspot in the field of linguistics. People try to recognize and understand the world with the experience of their own body, generally have a body part projecting to the unknown target, thereby generating a large number of human body words. The words with human body are both realistic and abstract, and with metaphorical meanings which can reflects people’s psychology and culture etc.. It behooves that Idioms use the images of to express the abstract meaning.At present, the research on idioms of human body in Chinese and Vietnamese is not so much. The scholars are mainly focused on the semantic (metaphor), pragmatics and culture connotation, and seldom research on the grammar structure, syntactic function, rhetoric of the idioms with human body. Or their research is not enough, and there are some misunderstandings. In addition, many scholars regard the teaching method of Chinese and Vietnamese idioms of human body is important, and mainly focused on the teaching, and the translation is almost not been studied.On the basis of previous studies and the theoretical reference of lexicology, semantics, cognitive linguistics and other related subjects, this paper mainly adopts the qualitative and quantitative analysis, description and interpretation method, comparison method etc to research on the Chinese and Vietnamese idioms of human body system, then a description of interpretationat from different angles and different aspects will be taken, and trying to find out the differences and similarities between the two languages. Hoping that we would have a more comprehensive understanding of the system of Chinese and Vietnamese idioms of human body, knows the characteristics and similarities and differences between Chinese and Vietnamese idioms of human body solution better,and helps us with the translation method in Chinese and Vietnamese idioms of human body.This paper is divided into seven parts:The first part:the introduction makes a brief introduction to the status quo、significance、 purpose、methods and sources of data of the reserch.The second part:make an overview on the Chinese and Vietnamese idioms of human body, and make a definition and statistics to the human body idioms. Because that different cultures and living habits have different views on each organ of the body cognition, and it resulting in the difference on the use of frequency of each body words between Chinese and Vietnamese idioms. Then, a research on the source of Chinese and Vietnamese idioms of human body will be made.Cause each idiom contains profound meaning, background story, daily life experience, and many other factors,so the sources of English idioms related to ethnic customs.The third part:Focuse on the in-depth meaning and semantic analysis in Chinese and Vietnamese idioms in semantic aspects of human body. The human body idioms are divided into three categories in this paper:head, body and offal. In the extended meaning, this paper focuses on the human body language most commonly used in-depth analysis, analysis and interpretation of the first description, comparison of Chinese and Vietnamese idioms of human body, pointed out the similarities and differences of meaning. Secondly, in the semantic category, this article classification first and then analysis, found that within a certain kind of idiom semantic category, the image body organs are different. Then, this paper analyze the reasons for the different points of the two languages.The fourth part:Make an investigation and analysis of the grammatical structure. Despite the impact of China, Vietnamese have similarities with the grammatical structure, but because of the two languages in different languages, and have their own syntax features, so there still have many differences. The grammatical structure is divided into two categories:the position of human body words in human body idioms is before or after.The fifth part:the human body idioms is equal to the words in a sentence,and they can serve as a component of a sentence. Chinese and Vietnamese human body idioms in the syntax function are the same, but the two languages are different from human languages, and the idioms of the sentence components have some differences. This paper make a comparative study on the syntactic function of the Chinese and Vietnamese idioms.The sixth part:in order to improve skills, make the discourse and the full and concise, to communicate with each other’s thoughts and feelings in oral or writing,we must use rhetoric. The idiom has a strong expressive force, rich in content, concise style and tone is harmonious, is because that it contains a variety of rhetoric (Rhetoric).Two different languages use different rhetorical devices. This paper carries on the analysis to the Chinese and Vietnamese idioms of human body rhetoric, pointed out the similarities and differences.The seventh part:the idiom is not only widely used in literary works, but also be used in daily life. With the more intimate Chinese and Vietnam relations become,and with the rapid development of intercultural communication, the translation of Chinese and Vietnamese idioms is becoming more and more important. This paper discusses the translation of Chinese and Vietnamese idioms of human body, and mainly study the way Chinese translated into Vietnamese.lt may be helpful to the study of Chinese idioms among scholars and users.The eighth part:conclution...
