Harmonious Socialist Construction Experience And Lessons In Vision Research

This paper focuses on social harmony, analyzing the problems of the experiencesand lessons of socialist construction systematically, and proposed the basic principlesand ideas of sustainable development of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Theefforts of this article in favor of deepening and expand the study of the theory andpractice of socialist. For Chinese and foreign politicians and scholars summarize theexperience and lessons of socialist construction focus on the perspective of theproductive forces and relations of production, class struggle, human development,social justice, social development, social conflicts, social relations, the conversion ofsocialist model, the selection of the socialist road and all levels of the socialistconstruction，but there are inadequate in the perspective of the social harmony. Themain disadvantages of the social harmony study are the lack of the holistic,comprehensive, systematic, and there are limitations in the contents and theconclusions. Thus study the paper can compensate for the defects of the socialharmony perspective research, and provide the lessons for the harmoniousdevelopment of our society.The full text includes an introduction and four chapters. The introductionreviewed and comments on the lessons of the experiences of socialist construction athome and abroad. On this basis to clarify the theoretical value and practicalsignificance of this study, to define the core concept of this article and describes theresearch method, the basic ideas and innovations. Four chapters, respectively,combing the ideology of social harmony and the ideal of Marx and Engels on socialharmony, to clarify the "ought" of the socialist; set the world’s leading socialistcountries-the former Soviet Union and China, as the example, to study the lessons ofthe process of socialist construction on social harmony, to clarify the "the Real" of thesocialism and the reasons. The paper summed up the experiences and inspirations ofsocialist construction in harmony.Chapter One outlines the harmonious ideal of ancient and modern society andoutlines the thinking of Marx and Engels on social harmony, and to clarify theideological origins and theoretical basis to pursuit the social harmony of thecommunists and the socialist countries. Social harmony is the common aspirations ofhumanity through the ages. In general, ancient and modern social harmony idealcontains the value longing to achieve social justice, harmony and concord. Utopian ideal of harmonious society is the ideal master of a harmonious society of mankind.Marx and Engels founded the scientific theory of the socialist harmonious societythrough the inheritance, the transformation, the innovation and the development of thesocial harmony ideal of humanity. This theory set historical materialism as it basicposition, and set materialist dialectics as the main method of analysis of humansociety. It reveals the underlying causes of the long-term social disharmony since thehumanity enter the class society profoundly. In particular, it found the general sourceof the social disharmony of capitalist, which is the basic contradiction between privateownership and the social production. It found the leading force, ways and means tosolve this contradiction. And it predict the future harmony society in the basic form ofthe body of free man joint, which mainly reflected in the goal of the "humanityreconciliation and the reconciliation between the humanity and the nature". The idealof the harmonious socialist society of Marx and Engels become the unremitting socialpursuit of communists because of it scientific, value and universal character. And alsothe thinking of Marx and Engels on social harmony is the theoretical basis forbuilding a harmonious society of socialist countries.The second chapter reviews and comb social harmony in the former Soviet Unionin the process of socialist construction. In the20th century, China and Russia as therepresentative of oriental backward countries embarked on the road to socialism as aresult of the combined effects of domestic and foreign conditions. These countriesfaced severe domestic and international situation, the basis of socialist construction isvery weak, and the road to explore the laws of socialist construction is also full ofdifficulties and setbacks. Although the socialism the former Soviet Union haveachieved better and fast development in the harmonious atmosphere, it finallydeclined for it does not overcome the centralization of power, arbitrary, privileges,dogmatic, single state and other factors that damage the social harmony in theconstraints of the subjective and objective conditions. In a certain period of time andto some extent, the Soviet model promoted social harmony. This mainly because itcaptures the major contradictions and problems of society at that time, theimplementation of the correct line, principles and policies, eliminated the system ofexploitation, to achieve basic fairness and justice, laid the base of socialistindustrialization, meet the people’s fundamental and long-term interests. For theSoviet Union did not seize the major contradictions and problems, and the deviate from the era and the national conditions of the system, line, principles, policies, theabnormal development, the indulgence bureaucratic privilege and the neglect of theissues of livelihood, former Soviet Union can not created the development inharmonious in the time of post-war.The third chapter reviews and summarizes the problems of the social harmony ofPRC in the first30years and discusses the exploration of the road of socialistdevelopment in harmonious of PRC after the reform and opening up, analysis ofsocial disharmony factors and its consequences in the time of the socialtransformation. Socialist construction has made great achievements in the first30yearof the PRC. The main achievements is the establishment of a complete industrial andeconomic system, the maintaining of the country’s independent status, the defendingof the fundamental interests of the people, the formation of the situation of thenational unity, the harmony of the people, the social stability and harmonious. But thegradually highlighted drawbacks of the systems, the "left" deviation, the "classstruggle", the ongoing mass movement, the trampling on democracy and legal systemhas caused some problems, and undermined the harmony.Since the reform and opening up, through a painstaking exploration, China hasexplored the road leads to the harmonious development of socialism with Chinesecharacteristics. In the process of exploration, China set the productive forces as thefundamental standard, and introducing the market mechanisms in the peripheral of thesystem and fully mobilizing the enthusiasm, initiative and creativity of the marketplayers. Meanwhile, in accordance with the principle of "grasp with both hands", tostrengthen and improve Party leadership, to develop the democracy and the rule oflaw, make the prosperity of socialist ideology and culture. This makes the stabilitysocial political situation on the basis of the overall socio-economic development. Atthe turn of the century, with the acceleration of China’s social transformation, somecontradictions and problems that affecting social harmony has become increasinglyprominent. Since the new century，for the increasingly prominent social contradictionsand problems, the party and the state has taken a series of new initiatives to furtheradvance the exploration of the road of harmonious development of socialism withChinese characteristics.Chapter IV summarizes the experience and inspiration of socialist constructionon the harmony issues. There were certain effects of the Soviet model of socialism in resolving the social contradictions and problems, and in making the socialrelationships harmony. But in the long run, the Soviet model damaged the socialharmony. Since1978, in the reform and opening up process China is exploring a newmodel and new road to resolve the social conflicts and problems. The prospects of thesocial harmony become more realistic. Thus, the road selection is the fundamentalproblem to achieve social harmony. In the process of the road selection Soviet Unionand China take a variety of ways to resolve social contradictions and problems. Thepractice has proved that the "Great Purge","continue the revolution", the sectionalreform, stick to the tradition all can’t overcome the fundamental ills that damage thesocial harmony. And abandon socialism is a road of turmoil. The experience of Chinashowed that the socialist reform is the effective way to achieve social harmony. Thesocialist construction experience of Soviet Union and China also showed that in theissue of the social harmony the ruling party building is the key link, scientificdevelopment is the base，the interests of the people is the value to rely on，fairness andjustice is the the fundamental premise.
