Since the reform and opening, with the steady advancement of urbanization and the transformation of the social economic development model, a large number of rural labor forces have flocked to the cities unceasingly, henceforth, there are lots of left-behind children in the rural areas."Left-behind children in Rural Areas", as a kind of social factual existence, are a group of "system products" from the looseness of the dual system of Chinese urban and rural. The emotional problems of the rural left-behind children have always been the blind spot in the academic study, however, it is also impossible to rewind this important topic, and today the problem of their moral emotion has become one of the key academic growing points about the level from the group research in the field of the ideological and political education. Exploring and solving the problems of the left-behind children’s moral emotion in rural areas is of great significance to the reference and inspiration, which help them grow up healthily, achieve the comprehensive development, and become a true societal person.The moral emotion of left-behind children in rural areas is a complex task, which involves children, left-behind children, moral emotion, and many other branches of the research, and the whole research depends on the situations and the characteristics of the objects. Among them, the research situations are the status of "parent-child separation", and the characteristics of the objects are the left-behind children, who have a certain moral cognition. According to the existing research results, the number of the left-behind children in rural areas in our country is very large, the geographical distribution is especially complex, and their own social development problems have also been highlightened, which affect the generation and cultivation of their emotions. From the perspective of the core concept, the moral emotion of left-behind children in rural areas refers to a special psychological activity from the fusion of the main body’s moral and emotion, i.e. the rural children, with a certain moral cognition in the "parent-child separation" status for more than half a year, can experience a kind of inner feelings and emotional reaction by abiding by the generally accepted moralities in the process of adapting to moral activity. In the real life the moral emotion of left-behind children mainly includes the sense of self-cognition, sympathy, social responsibility and other aspects, and often exhibits some negative features, such as utility, implicity, contradiction and so on.The moral emotion is an important sign of measuring the individual moral quality, and contacts with the two major functions of "cognition" and "behavior", which jointly promote the development of human nature. The generation of the moral emotion of left-behind children has experienced three stages of "emotional activities—feeling","experience—comprehension", and "internalization—empathy", and with each stage integrated, their moral emotion has been provided with a certain theoretical meaning. In fact, the formation and development of the moral emotion of the group are influenced by several factors, such as the secularization of the cultural environment in the rural society, utility of our educational goals, vacancy of the exemplary role model from parents, solidification of their thinking mode, social cognition of the negative tendency, etc. In order to cultivate the moral emotion of left-behind children, educators may attempt to regard the three related theories as the research entry point concerning with human socialization, subjectivity, comprehensive development, and at the same time seek for some pertinent breakthrough paths from the angle of subtracting the generated dilemma of the moral emotion of left-behind children. Of course, it is particularly critical to search for the scientific, specific cultivating methods. And with four kinds of emotional cultivating methods of "situation, truth, emotion, behavior" deepened into the whole cultivating process, it might well construct a set of effective cultivating system of the moral emotion.
