A Preliminary Study On The Ethnic Social Work

With the accelerated transformation of China society, the ethnic minorities and the ethnic regions are suffering a huge impact, and have caused many social problems.Since the new century, the ethnic social work has got a preliminary development, and become an effective way to innovate the social management system, solve the problems and achieve a harmonious development.There is an important theoretical and practical significance to study and promote the development of the ethnic social work.Literature suggests that the current researeh in social work in China is relatively weak, and is particularly lacking a systematic research on the ethnic social work.Because the ethnic social work is still at the starting stage, the importance has been often ignored. It is lacking a systematic study on the ethnic social work from the perspective of ethnic cultures in the present, few researches. The dissertation is a preliminary study.China has55ethnic minorities and is famous for the cultural diversity. To develop the ethnic social work in China, full attention must be paid to the difference of the ethnic cultures. Based on the perspective of ethnic cultures, the dissertation attempts to construct a suitable mode and path for the ethnic social work development through the combination of literature research and field research, and provides a theoretical support for the development of the ethnic social work. Around the goal, the dissertation takes the "Field-Habitus-Capital" theory as a theoretical perspective, brings the concept of "welfare culture" into the research field of ethnic social work, thinks that the practice field of Chinese ethnic social work is a field of multi-ethnic cultures, and the ethnic welfare cultures are the important habitus and capitals of the ethnic social work in this field. Give full play to their roles in the ethnic social work practice, not only can make the services in accordance with the ethnic traditions, but also saves the costs.The dissertation discusses the following problems:1.Defining the meanings.functions,subject characteristics,values, theories and methods of the ethnic social work.2.Retrospect and analysis the early practice and experiences of the ethnic social work overseas.3.Researching and discussing the current situations and dilemmas of the development of the ethnic social work in today’ china.4. Through cases, researching and reflecting the resources of the ethnic welfare cultures of the ethnic social work.5.Discussing the use of the resources of the ethnic welfare cultures in the ethnic social work practice as the problem of city floating population of ethnic minorities an example.6. Based on the above research, constructing the mode and path of the development of the ethnic social work.7.Dicussing the discipline construction of the ethnic social work,and putting forward some proposals for furthering the development of the ethnic social work practice.
