External Communication Research Of Core Socialist Values

Core values are the soul of soft power of Chinese culture. Promoting core socialist values of external communication is an important project in enhancing the soft power of Chinese culture and shaping China’s international image. At the same time, it is the righteousness of cultivating and practicing the core socialist values.This paper is trying to apply Marx’s theory of communication,the theories and methods of western communication studies to answer the theoretical and practical problem on how to promote the International communication about core socialist values systematically in the new historical conditions from a multidisciplinary perspectives.Introduction is in the front and the main body is divided into five parts:The first part is the background information. This part analyzes the historical background of core socialist values, and describes the values of classical writers of Marxist ideology and the basic connotation on core socialist values. And it also demonstrate the necessity of promoting the core socialist values of international communication from multiple perspectives.The second part is about the theoretical foundation. This part not only review the classical Marxist writers’spread thought, but also summary Marx’s communication theory,Lenin’s and Mao Zedong’s propaganda points. What’s more, it conclude the theory of External propaganda work in socialism with Chinese characteristics.This part focus on the introduction and critical analysis of the cultural imperialism theory, intercultural communication theory and Gramsci’s theory of cultural leadership, and reviewed the significance in the core socialist values of external communication. In this part, I summary the Chinese ancient thought of communication from the perspective of cultural communication and demonstrate the theoretical resources of core socialist values of international communication.The third part is the experience which we should use for reference. This part mainly comb the national communication experience of Marx theory, summary the external communication in western capitalist countries, introduce useful practice in shaping and spreading the ethnic values in Japan, South Korea, Singapore and other East Asian countries and reflect the lesson of the Soviet Union in response to the spread of Western values. In addition, it introduces the layout and strategy that are remodeled by Putin after he has been coming to power in Russia, which is to promote the values of external communication. This part try to provide a method on practicing the core socialist values.The fourth part is the discourse transformation. This section considered the discourse transformation, elaborate the discourse characteristics of the core socialist values, propose ideas of constructing academic discourse about core socialist values, promote the international express of core socialist values, and discuss China paradigm of the soft power of culture.The fifth part is the choice of path. This part puts forward four concepts to innovate the core socialist values of the external communication, puts forward five basic paths from the communication carrier and discuss the implementation mechanism of the core socialist values of the external communication. This section is trying to put forward a clear, simple, scientific program for the core socialist values of the external communication.To achieve the External communication of the core socialist values, the cardinal principle is to enhance the soft power of Chinese culture. We should step up our efforts to spread and improve the international influence of core socialist values and moral appeal on the basis of national identity. Facing the present-day hegemony of Western values, we need to establish a highly cultural confidence and value consciousness, to promote the core values of the transformation of international discourse and to create an international discourse system with Chinese characteristics. We should adopt a rational view of the current international discourse, core socialist values under the historical development of human civilization and avoid falling into the superficial clash with Western values.We must absorb the experience of western values on external communication, innovate external communication concept, expand the means, promulgate targeted external communication strategy and enable the international community to closely identity with our values in order to provide cultural identity foundation for China’s peaceful rise.We must combine the expanding of opening up with the influence of Chinese culture to spread our values subliminally by using the strength of culture.Under the new historical conditions, we need to seize the opportunities offered by the new media in the Internet era, break the traditional western monopoly on the reach information because of technological edge, write China chapter under the new historical conditions with a positive note, spread our voice and spread our values bys taking advantage of new technologies in Micro era.
