| The dual attribute of science and humanism exists in the discipline of medicine, whichsets higher requirements for medical workers, especially in the background labeled by rapidscientific development, steady social progress, changed modern medical patterns andgrowing needs for medical services. The obligation of cultivating and producinghigh-qualified medical workers exists in higher medical education, and hence, the qualitiesof medical graduates determine the level of the medical services they will provide.Therefore, the cultivation of the humanistic spirit plays an essential role in medicaleducation nowadays, and such awareness, in fact, stems from the rational criticism oftraditional medical education which simply focuses on pure science. Furthermore, plenty ofchanges will foresee ably occur in medical humanistic education, following the newpolicies of national medical reform, the international medical education standard, and thereport of the prospect of medical education in the21st century. In the above sense, the focusof the research lies on the point of in what way the humanistic qualities of medical studentswill be enhanced in a brand-new humanistic educational system consistent with thedemands of the present time.
