The Business Model Of Chinese Professional Basketball Clubs

Based on business model theory of the general enterprise, this article adopts researching techniques such as literature material, expert interviewing, questionnaire, statistic, and comparative method, studying on the problems in existing business model of Chinese professional basketball clubs, to set up a suitable business model for the development of Chinese professional basketball club. The conclusions are drawn as the following:1) The nature of the professional basketball club is enterprise, which is the product of the market economy. One of the main purposes is to achieve long-term goal of profitability and development of professional basketball clubs. This paper focuses on the macroscopic problems of club business model, and combined with the micro-level research. The business model of Chinese professional basketball club includes four points:strategic objective, profit model, management system and strategic resources.2) According to research the current situation of business model of Chinese professional basketball club, the main problems are lack of strategic objective, losing of profit model, imperfect management system and unreasonable strategic resource allocation. Mainly in the strategic objective is to feeling stone to cross a river, in terms of revenue all losses, the responsibility of management system is not clear, the lack of a reasonable organization environment, lack of effective allocation of resources.3) the new business model have clear content and steps of strategic objective, content and elements of profit model, organization and responsibility of management system, the main contents and allocation of strategic resources.On the basis of the above conclusions, this paper put forward the basic path business model of Chinese professional basketball club.1) Strengthening the Chinese professional basketball club of self-financing concept, establishing the Chinese professional basketball company, giving greater rights and autonomy to the professional basketball clubs, realizing the professional development of Chinese basketball club.2) Perfecting the management system of professional basketball club, separating the management and running, clearing definition of powers, establishing management personnel training system, athletes training system, paying attention to the effects of resource to development on professional basketball.3) Attaching great importance to the fans and audience s needs, and always taking the market as the guidance, perfecting and developing the business model of professional basketball clubs in China.4) At the present time, the Chinese professional basketball club is in the early stage of development, the club must not only be profitable and sustainable development, but also bear the responsibility of cultivating excellent basketball player to our country. Suggesting that coherent units give professional basketball club more preferential policies to support the development of professional basketball club, such as tax-free and relaxing the listing policy.
