Research On The Cultivation Mechanism Of Advantage Discipline In Research University In China

Advantage discipline symbolizes the overall school-running characteristics and corecompetitiveness of Research University, A good grasp of nurturing preponderant discipline is thekey for universities to realize great-leap-forward development. In this backdrop, this paper, basedon the reality of universities’ blurring knowledge of preponderant discipline cultivation, theblindness and arbitrariness as well as the lack of effective management methods and strategies,integrates related theories and methodologies such as educational management, puts forward the“five qualities” research system as the nurturing mechanism for featured evaluation. On the basisof drawing from the research achievements in subject evaluation home and abroad, this paperconstructs “three qualities” recognition and evaluation model for preponderant discipline.and thenconducts research into the relationship between elements that influence preponderant disciplinecultivation and recognition and evaluation indexes by constructing relational matrix of influentialelements and recognition indexes and adopting expert evaluation method for a better and clearerknowledge of sequence of influential elements and the elements in need of urgent improvement.Finally, this paper proposes some measures and suggestions for improving preponderant disciplinefrom the three perspectives of creating excellent interior and exterior cultivation environment,strengthening the nurturing and management mechanism of innovative subjects and creatingfundamental conditions for the healthy development of preponderant discipline. Therefore, thispaper bears significant practical mean ing for improving administrative staff’s cognitive awarenessof subject nurturing mechanism and rendering preponderant discipline cultivation in ResearchUniversity in China more scientific.
