According to summary and references of health behavior as well as health consciousness studies overseas and China, this research uses Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) as a main model structure to construct and test TPB frame-belief model, health consciousness model, and finally to construct TPB integral structure equation mode. Through three empirical researches, the researcher is going to accurately predict and effectively intervene the college students’health consciousness.Research One focuses on explore and compile the college students’health consciousness questionnaires by Theory of Planned Behavior. There are three structural components have been built:TPB-frame scale, TPB belief scale and health consciousness scale. According to the questionnaires requirements, TPB frame scale direct target at measure various mentality of an individual; such as his or her behavior attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control and perceived mood control.TPB-belief scale is related to a variety of human cognitive basis, which indirectly measures individual psychological mentality, such as behavioral belief, normative belief, control belief and mood belief. By measuring these beliefs, we can, in the theoretical level, perceive into a person’s basic cognitive and emotional foundations, and then explore why people will hold certain behavior attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control and perceived mood control.The health consciousness scale is related to a person’s level of health awareness, which directly measure a person’s various predictor variables, including health intentions, health motivation, health awareness, health responsibility, health participation and health knowledge, these six dimensions. The test results of exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis showed that the questionnaire created for this study have relatively high reliability and validity and they can be applied to college students, this particular group for evaluating their health awareness and healthy behavior.Research Two focuses on exploration of college students’health consciousness and its structure by compiling the health consciousness questionnaire of college students.Through examination and establishing first-order and high-order health consciousness models, this research combine TPB frame-belief model and high-order health consciousness model together and finally to construct TPB integral structure equation model.The TPB integral structural equation model can synthesizes the methods like path analysis and confirmatory factor analysis to describe in details of the various latent variables of TPB frame-belief model and the latent variables of health consciousness model as well as complex relationship of cause and effect among these latent variables, and thus accurately predict and analyze the college students’health consciousness.Research Three focuses on test and analysis of the intervention effects of college students’health consciousness. This research is the verification of testing results about Research Two. The tests of intervention effects of the college student’s health consciousness questionnaire is focus both on the impact and change of TPB cognitive beliefs and on using variances analysis and t test to compare and analysis the relevant effects of interference. The control group and two intervention groups formed specific experimental designs that are carried out through the horizontal and vertical comparisons. Horizontal comparison refers to the comparison among the test data results of three experimental groups; while, the vertical comparison refers to the comparison the respective data results of three experimental groups which come from tests of before and after.The results of various tests further prove that Theory of Planned Behavior has significant practical application influence on health consciousness study. The eight TPB variables all showed significant explanatory power about the health effects of the intervention, particularly the changes of behavior beliefs, normative beliefs, control beliefs and mood beliefs all directly or indirectly stimulate the changes of general health consciousness and each of health dimension.Through the above-mentioned testing and analyses, it can be concluded that:l.The college student’s health consciousness questionnaire is created and tested based on the theory of planned behavior, which can be applied to specific groups of university students to measure and forecast their health consciousness, in which the TPB-frame scale, TPB-belief Scale table and each dimension of health consciousness scale proved to have high reliability and validity after exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor in the tests, which are in line with psychometric standards. This study can be extended to predict and intervene other groups of people besides college students. 2. The TPB Integral Structure Equation Model in this research is based on the theory of planned behavior and combination of the TPB frame-belief model and health awareness model. The tests proved that these models fit well and have good reliability and validity, which has a high explanatory power and predictive power on overall health awareness and various health dimensions. This TPB structural equation model tests and interprets of the validity of the previous eight hypotheses, at the same time, verifies the practical application effect of TPB in the field of health consciousness research.3. Through analysis of variances and t test such kinds of statistical method, and the control group and two intervention groups under horizontal and vertical comparison, this research has been successfully verified that the TPB intervention effects on health consciousness. Also variety of the experiments further shows that health education lecture that are written based on the basic principles of theory of planned behavior, with a strong emphasis of persuasive intervention have a better impact effects than those of general health knowledge readings. Also, the control group without any intervention, almost all of their questionnaires testing m values and p values show no significant changes and differences.4. In addition, the variance tests verified that, in examining the effect of interference of TPB, some of TPB variables show differences between sexes and academic majors, among which there are the interaction between gender and intervention methods on some variables. Differences in test results show that college students have major effects in the testing of general health consciousness, with the liberal arts major of students have significantly lower scores than that of science and engineering major of students, but there was no gender effect in testing of general health consciousness for college students.
