Research On The Diffusion Mechanism And Model Of Thechnology Innovation Of Chinese Universities

Technology innovation diffusion is a process of widely using and promoting a newtechnology in the market, is an effective form of innovation affecting the economy. Thetechnology innovation diffusion of universities researches the process of which theinnovation capability and results are spreaded to enterprises, adopted by more enterprises,and ultimately affect economic activity. At present, with innovation-oriented countrystrategy is further promoted, innovation-driven has gradually become an importantpropulsion for economic development and industrial restructuring, and the nationaltechnology innovation system is perfecting. But there are still faced three prominentproblems. First, the transition from factor-driven to innovation-driven faces very largepressure, it is urgent to enhance the support and leading role of technology innovation onthe economic and social development. Second, the motivity and ability of enterprises’independent innovation is obviously insufficient, and China’s industrial development isfaced with the dilemma of lack of core and key technology. Third, because of the weakcapability of universities’ technological achievement transformation and innovationdiffusion, it is very serious that a lot of technological achievements and technologicalresources are idle and waste. It has become urgent task for improving the nationaltechnological innovation system and promoting economic restructuring and sustainabledevelopment that how to activate universities’idle innovation resources and achievements,and how to promote university technology innovation to the industry.In this paper, I have analyzed the importance of the technology innovation diffusionof universities and its forms from the perspective of the constructing national technologyinnovation system and promoting the restricting and development of the economy andsociety. Using a method of integrating theoretical analysis and empirical research, I analyze the internal mechanism and mode of the technology innovation diffusion ofuniversities which including of the key issues of its system and elements, inherent powermechanism, process and pattern, diffusion models, effects and pathes. Then I also proposesome policy advice to accelerate the technology innovation diffusion of universities.The study includes of eight sections:Chapter1: Introduction. This section analyzes the main effectiveness and problems inthe construction of the national technological innovation system, studies the practicalsignificance and theoretical value of the technology innovation diffusion of universities,and introduces the concept of technology innovation diffusion of universities, as well as itsresearch content, research methods, technology roadmap and research framework, etc.Chapter2: Literature review. This section overviews the theory of technologyinnovation diffusion which including of space theory, decision theory and evolution theory,analyzes the previous research results of the technology innovation diffusion ofuniversities, and introduces some related theories, such as the theory of technologytransfer and innovation systems theory.Chapter3: The research of system and elements. This part analyzes universities’capacity of technology innovation diffusion, enterprises’ ability of innovation adoption,the characteristic and type of technical innovation, as well as policy, economy, information,and social environment, from three levels of subject elements, object elements andenvironmental elements. In additional, the system structure of the technology innovationdiffusion of universities and its influence in the innovation diffusion are studied in thepart.Chapter4: The research of dynamic mechanism. In this part, I try to establish theevolutionary game model of the technology innovation diffusion of universities, on thebasis of analyzing the role and power of universities and enterprises in technologyinnovation diffusion system. And using the model, studies the motivation and behavior ofenterprises’ innovation adoption, as well as the strategy to promoting the technology innovation diffusion of universities.Chapter5: The processes and modes. The general processes and main modes oftechnology innovation diffusion of universities are analysised firstly. Then this part studiesthe characteristics of four diffusion modes and their diffusion pathes according to the typesof technological innovation. Finally, with the two cases of the innovation diffusion ofChina’s digital television technology and intelligent speech technology, the part makes anempirical analysis on the diffusion mode of universities’technology innovation.Chapter6: Model research. Based on the analysis of the features and forecastingprocess of Bass model, and the characteristics of technology innovation diffusion ofuniversities, this part has improved Bass model with repeat purchase as a variable, andestablished the theory model of technology innovation diffusion of universities.Chapter7: Effects and pathes analysis. The part makes the statistical analysis withsurvey questionnaire, and studies the relevant factors of technology innovation diffusionof universities and their effects and pathes with Structural-Equation-Modeling (SEM).Chapter8: Research conclusion and policy suggestion. This part summarizes thepaper’s main conclisions and innovation points based on the former studies, and then putsforward the policy suggestions for speeding up the technology innovation diffusion ofuniversities. Finally the prospect of the research field is studied according to the problemsneed to be solved further.This paper uses multidisciplinary approach including technology innovation theory,innovation diffusion theory, innovation system theory, technology economic theory andevolutionary game theory, and analysises the system of the technology innovationdiffusion of universities, their elements, dynamic mechanism and diffusion rules.There are three main innovation points:(1) The paper studies the technology innovation diffusion of universities andestablishes a comprehensive research framework and theory system with using theinnovation diffusion theory in the field of university technological innovation. It have also analysised the system structure and the main characteristics of the technology innovationdiffusion of universities, and studied the diffusion effect of the system elements and theiraffecting pathes with SEM.(2) Learning from the enterprise’s decision strategy of innovation adoption, thispaper tries to establish an evolutionary game model of the technology innovation diffusionof universities by using game theory, and then analysises the impact of the cost ofuniversities’ technologies and government subsidies on enterprise’s decision of innovationadoption with the model. On this basis, the numerical simulation is given to the combinedeffects of two factors on the corporate decision.(3) Based on the Bass diffusion model which is the most representative ofinnovation diffusion models, the paper establishes a improved model for the technologyinnovation diffusion of universities with the add of repeat purchase as a variable. Throughregression analysis with the real income per year of technology transfer of Chineseuniversities, an equation of the technology innovation diffusion of universities isobtained, and a forward-looking predictive analysis is given. And then four specific modesof the technology innovation diffusion of universities are proposed and analyzedaccording to the characteristics and types of university technology.
