In the knowledge economy, technology, education and industry needs more deeper and more efficient interaction, entrepreneurial university, academic entrepreneurship in turn become an important research topic. Discipline is the basic element of university, first-class universities, first of all because there is a first-class discipline. Based on Burton Clark’s five elements of transformation and Henry ·Etzkowitz’s triple helix theory are the two main research lines, but further, there is little literature specifically involved the corresponding disciplines how to transformation. Due to the academic entrepreneurship is not only endogenous also exogenous, past studies have limitations too static, and organizational capabilities are assets but also the abilities which have a certain dynamic, this research will be more explainable in terms of capabilities.Therefore, the paper based disciplines to build the theoretical model of Academic Entrepreneurial Capacity, drawing on knowledge management theory, organizational capability theory and triple helix theory, combined with knowledge mapping, interviews, cases comparison, questionnaires, factor analysis, multiple regression, analysis of variance, analytical academic entrepreneurship connotation dimensions and composition, and empirical study of disciplines Academic Entrepreneurial Capacity affect entrepreneurial performance model, put forward the corresponding measures under background of collaborative innovation, the rise of academic entrepreneurship, and the new mode of knowledge production.This thesis around three questions:What is the concept of disciplines organization Academic Entrepreneurial Capacity? What elements of disciplines organization Academic Entrepreneurial Capacity is? What is the role of disciplines organization Academic Entrepreneurial Capacity affect performance mechanism? And the following conclusions are:(1) Discipline organization Academic Entrepreneurial Capacity is a series combination of internal factors and external factors, thereby promoting traditional university disciplines organizational transformation to a knowledge entrepreneurial organization, ultimately enabling organizations to enhance entrepreneurial performance.(2) 31 interviews by content analysis of the data, initial integration discipline organization Academic Entrepreneurial Capacity constructed four-dimensional theoretical model:capabilities to integrate resources, capabilities of academic support, capabilities to explore the opportunity and capabilities of management support. By then, with a comprehensive analysis of the cases of Stanford University, Arizona State University, Imperial College, TUM, and further enrich the four-dimensional theoretical model. Then through the 246 surveys of outstanding discipline organizations in China, with the use of exploratory factor analysis to verify the capabilities’s four dimensions assumptions and measures of each dimension.(3)Empirical analysis through hierarchical multiple regression 246 questionnaires, and in consideration of the scale of discipline organization, discipline level and disciplines as control variables conclusion that enhance academic disciplines entrepreneurial performance, Capabilities of integrating resources most critical, followed by academic support capabilities, the capabilities of exploring the opportunity and management support. Through the different variables under variance analysis, we found the University should support differentiated according to categories and discipline organizational lifecycle.(4) Finally, based on the above analysis, put forward five measures:update the concept, clear positioning, system to create RAOS; docking industry, based on the problem and accelerate the integration of disciplines; Attaches great importance to the talent, sets up the model, condensed team together; Policy guidance, to grasp the difference, hierarchical classification advance; build a platform, focusing on participation, stimulate entrepreneurial passion.Building Discipline organization Academic Entrepreneurial Capacity is inseparable from stakeholders to work together. By concept updating, disciplines integrating, condensed team, policy guidance, and inspiring passion, so that top-down and bottom-up management support combined with academic support, while focusing on the integration of resources and opportunities to explore to nurture organizational duality ability to improve adaptability, in order to ultimately promote the disciplines organization to enhance entrepreneurial performance.The main contribution of this paper include the following:(1) system combing the disciplines and academic entrepreneurship literatures at home and abroad, drawing knowledge map, proposed the concept of Discipline organization Academic Entrepreneurial Capacity; (2) identify the relative importance of the constituent elements and providing a reference for the practice (3) analyzes the cases of United States, Britain and Germany four university to build Discipline organization Academic Entrepreneurial Capacity, rich the idea of the development of the University differences; (4)structure Discipline organization Academic Entrepreneurial Capacity model and the mechanism for organizations to improve academic entrepreneurial performance and so that can better serve economic and social development; (5) propose Measures to build Discipline organization Academic Entrepreneurial Capacity and enrich the academic organizations, academic entrepreneurship, and organizational capability theory.
