We are living in an astonishing new era with many special features, like ever-changing science and technology, diverse competitions in business, fierce conflicts between countries, and the globalization. The talents have been the most important element to the power of a nation, in which education is the key for citizens’quality. Primary school education, as the fundamental education, is the cornerstone of social development. However, There are many problems in china like knowledge-centered curriculum, instrument-oriented educational aims and utilitarian teaching methods, more of which is viewed students as container of knowledge, machine of training and vessel of exam, but human. All of this bring about a terrible condition that students are deprived of subjectivity and education lost the value of life and charm of humanity. Therefore, primary school education should get rid of the bottleneck of exam-oriented, in order that go back to the original aims of education, and build the human-oriented educational system.The study selected A primary school in Jinzhou as the case, to investigate the human-oriented education in primary school. There are three parts in all.The first part (Chapter 1)talked about the definition of human-oriented education. With reviewing relevant literature, on the basis of my experience, the author analyzed the meaning and concept of human-oriented education.The second part (Chapter 2) discussed the theoretical foundation. Three theories were introduced, including Marx’s theory on human’s free and comprehensive development, humanism education and subject education.The third part (Chapter 3,4,5) shows the construction of human-oriented education in primary school from the perspective of practice. This part is consisted of three chapters. Chapter 3 is the methodology, including research hypothesis, research samples, the collection of data, the implementation of research and the analysis of data. Chapter 4 is the action research, including the formulating of human-oriented curriculum in A primary school, the implementation of human-oriented pedagogy, the organization of human-oriented out-door activities, and the run of human-oriented administration. Chapter 5 is the reflection on action research, mainly for the process and effect. The experiment revealed that we definitely got some achievements and useful experiences, for example, students, teachers and head teacher definitely had gotten positive changes in many areas. On the other hand, there were some problems. Reflecting on both sides, we constituted a sound human-oriented education system in primary school.
